Sorry- I am a big name brand coffee guy... Folgers Gourmet Supreme, the darkest coffee they make.
Inexpensive enough that I can double the amount of grounds without feeling wasteful.

I make it dark enough the room dims when I pour a cup.

I do cream and one spoon of sugar- and when properly made a good dollop of half and half moves the color shade to that of a football.

... years ago I went to a friends house that enjoyed as dark a roast as i do- and she put heavy whipping cream in my coffee instead of half and half.
What a horrible thing to do- I was immediately hooked and it took a year to break the habit.

Not into dark roasts personally. That said, Folgers is good, especially for the price. However, I only get that or speedway in a pinch. I prefer really good coffee. My mom gets me a year supply every Christmas from Cafe Britt. It is very good coffee from Costa Rica.

Funny story, my parents know how much I enjoy coffee and they travel a lot. They tend to bring me coffee from all around the world. When they went to Costa Rica, they brought me back this coffee and it was insanely good. My uncle, who happened to be in town, had no clue how to use a coffee machine and went through a couple of bags in like a week because he was putting too much coffee into the filter. I was pissed, probably the best coffee I'd had and I got only a few cups out of it. Mom bought me some for Christmas as a sort of gag and it's been going on ever since.

Can't complain. Between that and some retail jobs where I had unlimited supply of Dunkin Donuts due to my five finger discount, I probably haven't paid for coffee for almost ten years.

I can sympathize 100% . Sister came over and wrecked my Tanzanian peaberry. Ground the whole tin because she thought it would save me time later, made a mess and wasted it, then she couldn't figure out how to use a press. =/

What's sad is that people have smart phones on them. If you don't know something, look it up(or just ask), damn it. Just because some people can taste the vast inferiority in k-cup coffee, doesn't mean you should get angry that I use actual coffee making devices... which she did when I saw her giant mess. She was mad at me, for being mad at her... ugh. But when I made a batch properly and she tried it, she started to understand and couldn't believe coffee could taste so good. Plus, I don't usually buy $20/lb coffee. The words "Make yourself feel at home" does not mean 'do your best Axl Rose in a hotel room impersonation'.

If you like lighter roasts with big body flavor, Tanzanian peabody is one of the best. I like light and dark, rarely like to repeat the same thing.

While he was here, I started waking up early to prevent him from making the coffee. By then though, it was too late.

I usually will give a couple bags to my buddy, then use some to barter. I've traded coffee for favors as well as high quality beer. It's always appreciated by an actual coffee drinker. Even still, it tends to last me almost the entire year. Such a great cost saver for someone who appreciates good coffee.

Something about Duncan Donuts coffee that I wouldn't drink it if it was free.

I don't drink coffee. Omelet and wheat bread every morning for breakfast with some water...if I'm feeling lazy, left overs from the night before

I was doing some work for a guy that was in triple A ball with Lasorda. They were good friends. So the guy called Lasorda when I was there and let me talk to him. He was funny as hell.

I don't hate them. If anything, it allowed more people that couldn't make a decent cup of coffee to now hit a bare minimum. But yeah, love losing time by having to do a vinegar descale every month just to get a normal cup of coffee and spend considerably more on pods.

Oh, Just a thought, Anyone have a coffee that they really enjoy?!?

Some of my favorite is from this company right here.

https://nmpinoncoffee.com/

You cannot go wrong with the biscochito flavor, put a little cinnamon in the basket with the grounds. It is fucking delicious!

Share the coffee you like and link it up, get those people some business??

Love this shit. I'm gonna buy a bag of yours and see the flavor. I'm always on the lookout for good coffee and good beer.

Which flavor do you recommend?

It's hard for me to choose honestly. I haven't had the medium roasts. I'll probably give those a try soon. I do really like the Tarrazu and Tres Rios. Poas and Narino are very good as well. They have dark roasts too, if you're more into that, but I'm not a fan of dark roasts in general.

I prefer lighter coffee. The dark stuff has it's place, but I find myself drawn to more flavorful and less acrid, which is what I find in the medium and lighter roasts.
