Guessing when beverage manufacturers came out with the pull tabs on cans your income took a pretty damaging blow.

We don't mention pull tabs in my house. But we do use them because they are so much easier than a fucking can opener

Easy fix to your woes- Start a fear campaign about pull tabs.
babies choking on the tab, throats being slashed with the sharp edges... maybe even one just exploding as it is opened and wiping out the whole neighborhood.

then a nice tag line, "keep your family safe and intact, buy Ruprecht brand can openers. for your family, for their lives"

I had tuna for lunch, was going to use a can opener, but I used the pull tab instead. My can opener is lonely.

If I'm at the store and I have to choose between a can with a pull tab or one without one, I will go with the lower priced one 90% of the time.

I do 100% of the time, but the big packs from Costco just come that way?

I don't shop at costco and probably never will unless I somehow pop out 3-6 kids.

My savings on liquor alone covers the cost of the membership.

I have the "executive" Costco membership, because I am quite the Fancy Lad. They kick back a % of what I spend there every year and that is more than the cost of membership, so it's free. There is a lot of stuff I won't buy there, the 50 gallon drum of kalamata olives for example. We also shop at Aldi, Jewel, Caputo's, and other places. Each place has some advantage over the others. It's time consuming, but we think it's worth it, both financially and more importantly, from a food quality standpoint. Obviously we don't have to go to every place every week.

Exactly. I like Costco for a lot of things but refuse to buy giant packages of fresh veggies because they go bad before me or my wife get them eaten. However, it's perfect place for liquor, detergent, paper towels and toilet paper. Also but coffee peanut butter tuna and canned salmon there.

Forgive me for being on mobile and not using my commas.

Are you doing ok brother? You seem a little on edge the last few days.

Too many carbs in that bean chili with cinnamon rolls.

The key to the 3 Cs, Calm, Cool, and Collected: have an avocado.

I can't remember the last time I bought any paper product anywhere else. Toilet paper, paper towels, kleenex, paper plates, plastic cups, dishwasher detergent, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash. I split liquor between Costco and Binny's.

In the frozen section at Costco, they have lime and tortilla crusted Tilapia fillets, buy that stuff, cook it, and eat it. Makes a great fish taco.

Had to use my can opener today cause there wasn't a pull tab on the can. I was so happy and grateful that I had a nice fully functional tool to get the job done.

Can of what? I'm curious, who is still resisting the pull tab?

I said earlier ITT big restaurant can openers will eventually be the only can openers left, because of giant industrial sized cans, that are not conducive to pull tabs.
