Try to get it that other teams aren't going to give the Bulls Christmas presents in any trade. So taking some rumors of players that are supposedly on the block what can the Bulls do.
I don't see Cleveland willing to include draft picks with Waiters for Deng because they seem intent on drafting their roster. I think they would actually be better off getting Deng for picks and resigning him as a stable veteran to steady the play of the young nucleus. If the Bulls did get Waiters he would be less important than the picks and be on a tryout for the rest of the year. He would have to get his head in the game and decide to be a team player under Thibs.
The other thing that appears certain is Asik is leaving Houston possibly to Atlanta for Paul Milsap. I think the Bulls can get in the middle of that. Milsap is more of an inside player and what would better serve Houston is an outside shooter who wouldn't clash inside with Howard. Asik and Motiejunus go to Atlanta, Milsap and Houston's Aaron Brooks to Chicago and Carlos Boozer to Houston.

Milsap takes Boozer's spot and Gibson still backs up at the 4 and 5. Brooks maybe is able to backup at the point and Teague can go to Iowa or get traded. It cuts the Bulls' payroll slightly and we've all seen that 2 smaller contracts allow more possible moves than 1 big one.
