He is capable. That is the most important thing. When nobody else on your team plays defense, it kind of has a corroding effect.

Has nothing to do with the team. He doesn't play hard 90% of the time. If his shot isn't there, he pretty much gives up on the game in the first quarter. I have watched him since he has been a Hornet/Pelican. His demeanor has been the same since day one.

He has been better this season. He's actually been pretty healthy. And his shot is there. You can't say it has nothing to do with the team. Monty Williams was a disaster of a coach who didn't believe in rebounding, defense, or any sort of disciplined offense.

Rami's plan of action:

Try to trade Gasol and Noah for picks to inherit cap space in the offseason. And if you can't let them become URFA's.

Let Noah walk. Negotiate with Gasol if Batum if every decent starting caliber SF/wing signs elsewhere.

Sign a Kosta Koufos type to play the back-up 5.

Draft combo guards and wings.

We aren't that far off, I just don't take for granted a season where the most probable outcome is to lose in 6 in the eastern conference finals. To me that is a very good chance. I'll take that chance any year.

Any young wing player we want his team does to. I am praying the Kings give us the 11-15th pick. The player I think I want is Robert Carter Jr. Who plays Michigan at 8 pm on ESPN if you want to check him out. That might be my selection for SF of the future

Some people are over rating Gasol. If his offense isn't on, which it most definitely isn't tonight, he's worthless. He makes opposing centers a notch better. Horfords a star who played like a superstar on Pau. Zaza a decent player who played like a star...I could go on. He isn't a good fit for this team. If he came off the bench, that would be one thing but he has to much pride for that.

I'm not saying he's bad, but he doesn't fit. He needs to go.

I am not sure it matters. The trade should have been for Batum in the off-season.

Surely we have better assets than Gerald Henderson and Noah Vonleh!

Gibson + McDermott or Mirotic and the Kiings pick. yeah, that is better.

Henderson is an expiring contract and Vonleh has done nothing and looked like complete trash last season. He has looked like Trash this season too.

Maybe they were planning on less wins for Simmons

Also wasn't really being sarcastic

Agreed. I hope they can pull it out and get the 11th pick for us. I'd want Jaylen Brown.

Gasol+Noah+Gibson for Howard and Ariza

Noah+McDermott for Collison,Casspi,Bellinelli

Deals with some tweaking are out there...but do not look for deals from this team.Only expect salary dump trades

My final answer is none. No trade.

Noah and Hinrich are the only expirings. And they are our soul. Ride with them and their leadership. This team likes each other and is deep. Play it out. Try to sign Gasol.

If we were offered a large sum for Gasol and Snell, I would take it after listening to the no chance Lamentations. But I think we have an outside chance personally, rebuilding could take ten years before you ever have this good a chance to win.

The reason I would take it is because we could certainly survive the loss of any one player on this team we are so deep. Only Butler has two way efficiency that would hurt us to lose.

The trade value of most of this team is low, or they are young guys we should retain and develop closer to ceiling.

Gibson? Seems expendable. But I want something or stay.

I say stand pat, see how far Gasol/Noah/Rose can take us. Trade Gibson next year MAYBE after things shake out. Remember Paxon Hoiberg were players and they may have opinions on mid season trades.

Last night I thought about Kris Middleton next to Jimmy on the wing. I like that.

Not sure we have something interesting for them in exchange.

No way the Bucks trade Middleton. At least now what we have to offer. They might blink at Niko, Doug, Taj, Kings pick but ultimately, I don't think there's a deal to be made. We need to go old school, 2010 style. Play lock down (or just very good) defense and let Jimmy take over similar to how Rose did back in the day. I would like to see Jimmy get a little better with his ball handling and decision making. Over the past few games, there has been many possessions that Butler was slow to react and/or didn't make the right read. If he wants to handle the ball as much as he does, he's going to have to protect the rock better. Having said that....

Jimmy motherfucking Butler.....

That is all...

Think that the Knicks would be willing to trade Carmelo for Rose and some draft picks?

Noah is out and we win 6 in a row, score 100. He comes back, and as I have been saying, completely disrupts the flow and rhythm of this team.

His best value is now as a cheer leader on the bench, or traded for his expiring. Probably as a cheer leader. The worst thing we can do is not realize this and bring him back for the playoffs. He stops the ball to make the difficult pass while the defense converges in multiple directions away from him, because he can't shoot. He has lost a step defensively, he isn't that big or strong, and he is one awkward ugly-skilled ball player.

I love the heart of the guy, I am partly shamed for this hate, but damn it's just hard to watch. It's a leftover from the Thibs years and the final game he played in was a fitting last page of the last chapter. I hope. 83-77 loss. Everyone stand and clap for the warrior, but I hope that is the last I ever see him in red.

I believe 6 teams have a chance. Spurs and GS, then Cavs and Thunder, then Clippers and Bulls. With a nod to Atlanta and Toronto.

The clippers and Bulls have the talent of the rest, but for whatever reason just cannot mesh it all together effectively as of yet.

I completely disagree that we don't have equal wing talent, ours just aren't developing well enough. They aren't maximizing what they do have, they aren't staying within their role and making things easier for our 3 stars.

We are the sneaky dangerous snake because both Gssol and Rose have a playoff gear that will blow doors off, that they are conserving the throttle of right now. Once they engage we become the magic three headed dragon formula.

By that time our role players need to understand their turn and contribution. We have much more auxiliarry scoring than past years, with McDermott, Mirotic, Brooks all elite shooters. Some 3 and D out of Snell, plus Gibson and Portis. I like this team a lot, and think it has great balance, versatility, and potential.
There is simply no room for Noah. He really complicated the employment of matching up the other players who are all flawed in some way in their own right. Noah unfortunately breaks the combinations.

I predict the ship turns around now that we are simple plug and play again. Moore turned it up.

Our chances rest in the health of Rose. Our best basketball will emerge in April. Everyone relax and enjoy, we had high hopes dashed. I think this year it's low hopes surprised. You all will come around to my side when we are 2-2 with Cavs. We DO have a chance this year.
