What vacations are you taking this year?

Okay, spill. Where are you guys going on vaca this year?

Planning a trip to Grenada to spend a week on a 40ft sailing catamaran. It is an educational vacation where my wife & I will learn to sail the boat and complete ASA 101, - 104. The point is to see if we want to buy a sailing cat of our own to live on while exploring the islands of the Caribbean for a few years.

2 weeks in the Mexican Riviera; a week + fishing on the Delaware (down near Portland, PA); long weekend camping on the Mississippi (Iowa side). Pretty sure that's the extent of the plans so far.

Want to drive highway one, see the Red Woods, Alcatraz, and what not.

Going to Hawaii for a couple weeks, but haven't decided which island yet. The only islands I haven't been to are Molokai and Lanai, but I'm bringing the kids and I'm thinking that they may get bored on those islands. Anyone ever been to those islands care to share your experience?

2 weeks in Japan

I may do a summer trip to California as well. Was able to negotiate for 6 weeks paid vacation starting this year so might as well put it to good use.

Two weeks in the British isles this spring - delayed honeymoon. Wife will be running the London Marathon & we'll stay for free there with friends. Then a few days each doing the air bnb thing in Edinburgh, Dublin, and day trips to other spots. After that no plans as I'll be tapped out of funds and time off.

Nothing concrete yet. I have a few friends who are now spread all over the country, we've been wanting to do a long weekend somewhere and have some fun, so probably Vegas because it's easy.

Other than that, no plans.

Very nice drive. And Alcatraz is a must. To bad the Indians fucked it all up.

Only one so far. Gonna get the treatment in Napa in April. We have to pay for airfare and car rental, but accommodations at Mondavi/Franciscan and all meals and wine at those two plus Ravenswood. Should be awesome.

I do a lot of independent contract work, so planning vacations is futile.

The missus and I just snuck off to San Juan for a few days. Wish it had been a few more days...flying into Chicago last night made me hate this city.
