This year will be interesting. My wife is switching jobs and I think she'll have to go down from 3 weeks/year to 2 weeks/year. So, that might crimp a lot of plans.

We were initially planning an Alaska Cruise this summer for our 5th Anniversary, but we might have to re-think just on time contraints.

Worst case we do San Jose/SF again. Easy drive there (only 10 hours).

Did she make the switch already? Just tell employer she has a trip pre-planned. I've never had an employer say "Well you can't have the job then."

Tentatively late August to late Sep:

Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, northern Colorado, maybe southern MT if time.

The issue is not whether or not her new employer will say "yes" or "no" (i should have clarified that), but rather the terms of the vacation and how much extra she'll have afterwards--especially if an emergency happens with her family and on short notice she has to go back home or the like. It's more like "will an alaska cruise take up too much of her vacation hours?" not "Will her new job alow her to do it?"

Plus, this job is her finally being able to do what she always wanted to do, so she is of the mindset of the cruise will be sacrificed is needs be.

I do a race track destination thing every year. Going to ship myself and a car to Monterey, CA for 2016.

My wife lectures all over the globe and I tag along when its somewhere I'm interested in. Want to go to Carnival this year.

Looking to add two Oregon Pinto Noirs to our wine list this spring. Let me know if you have any incredible wines!

My employer sends me to a CME course (within reason) every year and I always go 50/50 on the quality of the course vs being in a cool location. Then I pay for a couple extra nights and the wife joins me. Last year was Manhattan. I think I need to be near a beach this year[emoji57]

Ft Lauderdale this year. Timeshare has the most random locations, but I guess it could be worse.
