Just because Tyler Scott has hardly been used, does that really mean he's trash? We don't know.
Maybe he is. Judging from the past, Poles isn't above telling his HC to play the better players more.

If Poles hasn't told Eberflus, now Brown, to play Scott at all this season maybe he is trash.

It’s a no win situation. It’s either stick with Poles and hope for a Les Snead turn around or fire Poles and watch Warren somehow turn it into an even bigger circus.

Become fans of another team because CCS hurt your feelings.

Then I would miss all of your hot takes and opinions crash and burn in spectacular fashion.

What would be the fun in that?

This actually hurts my feelings too. I’ll let you know 5 minutes after the Super Bowl what team I’ll be following for the next year at least.

Also, I’ll post here nonstop and be a relentless ****** bag at all times. However, I’ll promise to forget the proper use of your and you’re, to and too, and other simple stuff that 4th graders know.

Plus, I hope Clint doesn’t dox me.

Fire poles and hire a GM who knows what a good lineman looks like.

It's so wild to me that he not only neglected the OL, but can't identify good ones because he was in KC when they rebuilt their OL in one off-season after Mahomes got battered in their Superbowl loss.

Let me propose this as if I were the GM - I want whichever coach impresses me with the best plan forward, and I do not know enough about any of the candidates to say something confidently about them. I just see the product on the field as something I want in the end.

This team has last years 1OA QB, several weapons worth passing to, maybe one OLman, maybe three DLmen, several DBs and LBs that are good enough to play but nothing that you cannot move away from.

The first priority is protecting the QB - whatever comes next, significant resources need to be spent to bring in top talent to protect the QB, and backups. Consider backups Priority 1.2. Give me at least five new OLmen this offseason, please.

The second priority is actually going to be reinvesting in the offense. I am pro-Allen, and think a price around 15M a year for two years is reasonable. Three WR sets are common enough that I think that another WR should be brought in. We have three starters and scrubs after that. Kmet is making a lot of money and has not been performing this year - I would look to the draft for someone that offers athletic traits as a receiver, who might need a year of seasoning, and who will push Kmet in the future. Give me two new WR and at least one new TE, please.

The third priority is DL. I have no tie to a 3-4 vs a 4-3. The talent this team has that might not be a scheme fit is Sweat, and I do not mind trading a DE for a draft pick. Either way, pass rush becomes the next priority, as the DBs are a swarm when they are on their game.

In the end, my goal is not to have a competitive defense next year because every penny going to that is going away from the QB that we want to win a trophy. I would like to see the offense regularly cross 30 points and then work on making the defense keep the other team to less than 30.

This is inspired by remydat's mock offseason thread....what would be your plan for fixing the Bears?

My opinion is based on the thinking that the 2024 are at a Trestman level of dysfunction. There has been no progress from year-to-year, so the whole thing needs to be torn down for the most part. Here is what I would do:

a) Fire entire coaching staff.
b) Fire Ryan Poles, hire new GM
c) Do not re-sign any existing player's contract that is expiring
d) Keep draft capital, look at trading away established defensive players in the LB and DB areas who might bring back draft picks.
e) look at signing the backups of teams like the Niners, Lions, etc., because those guys have looked superior to the current Bears starters and would at least have a little NFL experience.
f) Draft heavy in the OL and DL

If there was a way to stop anyone and everyone that works at Halas Hall from being involved in any and every way of the operation of the Chicago Bears, I'd start there.

Otherwise, this just becomes an annual conversation.

Mark in the callendar. Poles will stay because McCaskey wont eat two contracts, period. Now the easy part, he (Poles) will get extended if new HC candidate ask for it.. Simple.
So you’re saying they will need to find a new HC that fits Poles? Well that would be typical Bears.

Sounds more like you are the one with the hurt feelings. Also seems like you have your fair share of Bears fans that hate and ridicule you.

Maybe I can become a Chase Claypool/ Matt Eberflus fan?

I hear there is room? Are you accepting applications?

Go heavy OL & DL in da draft and,,,,OL or DL FA signing(s) and if not in playoff contention next year...then my man Poles has to go. 4 years and no sign of improvement is more than enough proof for dismissal.

It is really a no win situation. I want Poles gone and I definitely don’t trust Warren. That press conference showed how dysfunctional that front office is.

Yeah the difference is I am not sensitive enough to let other fans cause me to change teams.

And you also didn’t pretend to be a fan of another team just so you would get accepted
