What would be your plan for 'fixing' the Bears?

1. I would make it a priority to surround Caleb with the tools that give him the best chances of success.
2. That means I would only interview offensive minded coaches and hire from that list.
3. Splash free agency signing is on the OL - Trey Smith, OG or Ronnie Staley, OT, or Aleric Jackson, OT
4. 1st round pick is on the OL
5. Resign Teven Jenkins, OG
6. Add defensive talent only after the Offensive Line is properly addressed.

There really is no fixing the Bears as long as the McCaskey family owns it.
Just check out the Bears site under "Front Office"..

Its a bloated organization that is only concerned with making a profit and paying the salaries of countless people, most of which they probably dont need anyway

The owners are not football people. They are business people and run the Bears like they would if they owned several Restaurants.

Get new owners that are football people, and the team will succeed

A good defense gives the offense more touches.

I'm tired of giving precedence to the defense. We did it at the detriment of developing Justin Fields last go around. This year, Caleb Williams is on pace to set a season record for most sacks allowed. We

Sure, a good defense is nice. But I'd rather keep our QB healthy and set him up to success. Build some confidence. If we come to have a good QB we will be competitive for the next decade. Then we will have plenty of time to fix the defense. It doesn't have to happen now. And it doesn't have to happen at the detriment of our QBs development.

Spend the cap money on Defense
Spend the draft on Offense
Hire Joe Brady as HC
Hire Saleh as DC
Match Poles contract years with Brady’s

Trade Stevenson
Trade Edmunds
Trade B. Jones

Since we're past the trade deadline for Caleb keep Poles, get a HC. Put them both on a 4 year contract to align them with Caleb's likely lifespan.
Draft nothing but offense in the first 3 rounds every year until it's fixed.

If Poles manages to do it before Williams is gone all three can keep their jobs.
If not then you can get rid of them and start really trying to fix the team with a GM who picks their own HC and drafts their own QB that matches their HC.

As far as firing Poles now that's not how you fix it, that's how you keep doing the same old thing. Be like George Castanza, whatever the Bears would normally do, do the opposite.
