Keeping in mind this is now a $54MM problem which is three times more than Zambrano's remaining salary, what would you do if you were the Cubs?

keep him at LF unless a really appealing trade comes(alfonso produces a bit in april and may..which makes him look more appealing than he actually is sometimes) or something else happens

i dont really understand benching him...possibly because of his defense?

i think at some point he will be traded or the cubs will decide to get rid of him..that contract is a burden and alfonso will continue to decline

Depending on what happens in spring training, I think they can put either Reed Johnson or Dave Sappelt there. Campana would be in the mix too should Sappelt suck.

Keep Soriano, he's a great clubhouse guy. But I think he can be platooned with Reed Johnson or Brett Jackson or whoever else they have. Reed just tears apart left-handed pitching.
