Ya gotta wonder though......will the proverbial "July 8th" for Melo actually come at Trade Deadline in February '11?

Just a thought..

I think he could be traded come deadline because I think they will want something for him and they will get a good return.

I'd give up any and all love for this site and become the prostitute of this magnificent forum.

Damn, I love that video. Thing is, I think it's more for the emotional & adrenaline that it creates out of thin air than anything.

And that is when the FO should strike. We will know well by then who they can have for him.

Given the opportunity though...

Don't count out a random possibility like this.

YES, it may seem like a long shot right now in ways......but who knows come Trade Deadline what may happen.

Hmmmmm.....up-and-coming talent, rumored to go to an East Coast team, then the Denver team surprises everyone by dealing him to Chicago. Where have I heard this before? I like how you think, CTB.

Only way I would make a trade for Carmelo right now is if it was a sign-&-trade, otherwise Melo might be gone in 1 year. Unless... we gave up Deng and garbage... then it would still be pretty appealing.

If it was a sign-and-trade, it's very likely the Bulls would need to give up Noah, Deng, and Gibson. And I would definitely consider it, because...

C - ?
F - Boozer
F - Anthony
G - Brewer/Watson
G - Rose

Not bad at all.

Any combo of players and draft picks.

Excluding Noah and Rose.

Let's not be too naive... as much as I love Noah... if we could hook Melo for a few years... bye bye.

Taj, Deng, 2 1st rounders

I would do the same. I really like Taj but we could always get a comparable player in FA for a MLE or something along those lines. We're talking about Melo here, not some backup. This guy is one of the leagues top players. Put him on this team and we could beat Miami.

Give up Noah and Taj, and this team would get smashed down low.

And don't say "pick up other players" because there is no one out there as good as either of them. If there were, they'd already be on a team.

I just heard from someone on the ESPN boards.... (not usually credible but..)

On some radio show out of NYC called Boomer & Carton on WFAN spoke with a very close friend of La La, Melo's wife, and said that he will be going to the Knicks because he's a NY boy & he married a woman from NY also.

When asked about the Bulls the close friend of La La said "Why would he want to go there?"

Also, rumors of very early negotiations between the Nuggets & Knicks haves claimed to be well under way.

All I gotta say is whaaaaaaa? Lol all this in a single day. Sounds, as usual, shifty.
