Give up Noah and Taj, and this team would get smashed down low.

And don't say "pick up other players" because there is no one out there as good as either of them. If there were, they'd already be on a team.

Right now? Of course there isnt but next off-season you could find guys like Taj for the MLE.

We don't even have the Cap space for Melo. The best bet is him going to New York or New Jersey, and to trade for player like him would require a lot of pieces+ draft picks it would cripple our team in terms of depths and talent. I don't know I just see it that way.Unless Garpax get creative which I highly doubt that.

If the trade for Noah and Taj in a sign-and-trade for Carmelo... you do it. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Y?Melo averaged about 28ppg6.6 reb last and if we were to trade Deng 17.6ppg 7.3 rebounds,Noah about 11ppg and 11 reb, and Taj, 9ppg and 8 rebounds from last year and if u add it up u get 28ppg and 7 rebounds from Melo and u wuld lose about 30 points nd 26 rebounds and not including who we wuld get in the picks we give them.

That is faulty math, because Anthony would be taking over the SF position completely. It would be a HUGE upgrade from Deng (who I also like).

Gibson is going to never average 9 and 8 again with Boozer on the team. We've already upgraded that position with his addition.

And, as for Noah, we would find a C or two to replace him with. It won't likely be as good, but we surely can make up for some of that 11-and-11.

In conclusion:
(sign-and-trade) Noah+Deng+Taj for Anthony = beautiful deal for the Bulls

I'd give up James Johnson, 1st rd pick, and possibly Deng

Yeah, I'm still some-what feeling he will end up a Knick though. For whatever reason they will prolly get the deal done. Then they can have their little "Wannabe Big 3 of N-Y-C" when the little baby from N.O. get his wish & leaves. :lmao:

Bulls have a shot.....but it's a long one. I mean, what star player wouldn't wanna join a team that can win now & not later? Just sounds retardly intelligent... (all said in sarcasm of course :))

Easy to add this, easy to add that.

If it's so easy, why did it take so long for the Bulls to find a Noah, find a Boozer, find a Taj.

Oh, because it's not that easy.

Deng, JJ, and a pick or two. If that don't get it done, maybe throw in Taj. After that, move on. Not worth it after that point. Melo is going to NY anyway, so this is all moot

You'll change your mind after we don't make that trade, and lose in the second round for the next 5 years.

Actually, I'll question what kind of voodoo magic made it so that the Bulls roster became completely unchangeable for the next 5 seasons. I don't think I'll be angry about an over the top hypothetical that was never going to come to fruition in the first place.

And since there is pretty much no way this trade is happening anyway, are the next 5 seasons still shot? Might as well just pack it in?

Opportunities to get players like Carmelo Anthony don't just come along every year. That is the reason I would probably pull the trigger on a Noah/Deng/Gibson trade for him. The Bulls would retain a lot of capspace.

But I get that the Bulls have enough cap-space to get Carmelo in the Summer of 2011 off-season. Obviously, if they did that, they could keep Noah, too. That seems a lot more ideal. But really... he's still most likely to go to New York, New Jersey, or stay in Denver.

And what other great free-agents are the Bulls going to get if they don't land Carmelo? I understand it's a tough decision... but honestly the most likely way the Bulls win a championship is packing Noah into a trade package (obviously along with Luol Deng) for another legitimate superstar to go along with Derrick Rose.

Rose+Boozer+Noah isn't a good enough core to win a title...barring a miracle.

Your right, barring a miracle.

Still as we both know, they are the solid pieces needed to get the team to higher ground. There is only 1 missing puzzle pieces. A player like a Carmelo Anthony type. Maybe they get him, maybe they don't......they just need a guy like that to further the team to another title.

Deng is good, but Melo is better. ("duh" right? lol)
