I am watching my old DVD of "Meet the Flower Kings".
On "Humanizzimo" right now.
They are Swedes and masters of progressive rock, and also friends of a friend.
Been on hiatus since 2008.
I have caught some of their side projects though, Agents of Mercy, I missed the Transatlantic show in 2010 though dammit! My boss knows he owes me for that one, maybe why he is so good to me now.
I'm really only posting this because of the great news I read the other day.
The Flower Kings hiatus is OVER!!!
In studio or mixing new album now. Hope to see them in CHI maybe next spring...hopefully sooner of course.
Perhaps again at Martyrs. Seen 'em twice there + a side project.
Jonas Reingold in particular is a really nice guy and a fucking MONSTER on the bass.
This 2003 DVD I am watching was when Daniel Gildenlow was in the band.
I would very much like to meet him and thank him for all of his work, but I missed my chance at the Transatlantic show I couldn't go to because my boss did, but I would have been "+1" on show + aftershow.
