Oh, nevermind. You do have hands. These hands didn't get the job done tonight. Pretty or not, they failed.

Marijuana helps us in so many ways doesn't it?
Damn my friend. You were a tough fucking kid. Sorry you had to deal with so much pain.I had a hip reconstruction when I was 9.
I had a leg lengthening when I was 11.
I had mech/screws put into my knee when I was 14.
I had a 2nd leg lengthening when I was 15.
When the device came off the surgeon did a bone graft and put a 6 inch plate over it.
6 inch plate broke and the bone broke and I had to start back at zero, this is like 18 months in.
12 inch plate replaced the 6 inch plate and once again it broke, but the bone held.
16 inch plate replaced the 12 inch plate and another bone graft for good measure.
By the time this was done and I was weight-bearing my quad muscle was fused to my femur, so the surgeon had to go in an cut it up off my bone and lengthen it with a rod.
In total I had 13 surgeries on that leg, with a 14th in the last few years to remove scar tissue.
On top of all of that I was diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic when I was 10, so most of the surgeries came under that burden.
Weed helps, its the only thing that I found helps more than it harms.
People think they know pain, but I remember screaming until I nearly passed out as an 11 year old, its a different realm.
There is no "cure" for tinnitus. My hearing aids help quite a bit. But they come out at night.Since I started researching it, my phone has been hit with a bunch of ads for "cures." It's all BS isn't it? My DR at Kasier said so. Ty for your service in the Navy.
My dad has been basically deaf in his right ear since a child due to a high fever. Shit is scary.Apologies in advance for the novel but here we go.
I hurt my left foot in the first semester of my senior year of high school so this would've been 2004. It's kind of a weird story but the gist is I accidentally kicked a metal computer desk leg. At first, I didn't feel anything and about 4-5 hours later, suddenly while in English class, I had intense, excruciating pain in my foot. Ended up leaving school an hour early to go to the doctor. They did an x-ray and only thing that showed up was a bruised heel even though I kicked the leg with the front of my foot. The doctor said it was like whiplash for my foot, told me take advil or ibuprofen and it'll go away in 3-6 weeks. It never went away.
Ended up having to go to a total of 10 different doctors and specialists over the course of 5 years before a foot surgeon finally suggested to do exploratory surgery. Was supposed to be an 1-1.5 hr surgery but it ended up being over 3.5 hrs and turned into reconstructive ankle surgery. Turns out, I was walking around campus, playing rec sports with multiple torn ligaments in my foot that didn't show up on any imaging. Also had to get my Achilles lengthened as that was likely a genetic defect which is why I've always had issues with calf cramping pre-and-post surgery. I could never step on my tippy toes after my initial injury for more than about 1-2 seconds before experiencing intense pain and it turned out my body actually grew a new muscle the surgeon had never seen to help compensate for my injuries that was removed after everything else was repaired. So I got one good sized incision and then around 7 others. I like to joke that I don't have tattoos, just surgery scars. This was senior year of college.
Freshman year of college, got a bad sinus infection that spread to both of my ears and no matter what medicine was taken, these infections wouldn't go away. There were multiple days where I could not hear at all. Lost an estimated 10% of my hearing in my left ear and 30% in my right ear and at this point, I'm practically deaf entirely in my right ear. Only had 1 bad semester in college and that was the semester I had that stupid infection.
2013-2014 I worked in mattress sales and was actually good at it. When I got promoted to a store in Indiana, everyone in the store had to help unload the semitrucks worth of mattresses every Friday morning. I developed golfer elbow in both of my arms from the repetitive motions of lifting these heavy ass mattresses. I got treatment for it but it has never truly gone away and is now chronic. It flared back up in December 2022 as a result of the stress, anxiety and insomnia related to my stock getting frozen. The psychological impact of the stock being halted caused a physical reaction in my golfer elbow to come back in both arms. It's been a pretty consistent presence since then with an occasional few weeks of it being ok. It's so dumb and doing something as simple as lifting a 24 or 32 pack of bottled water will have me suffering for weeks afterwards. It is very annoying. If my dumb frozen stock ever actually pays out (been frozen since Dec 9, 2022), the first thing I'll be doing is going to a specialist to get this shit taken care of. The second will be getting a hearing aid for my right ear at least. I hate how expensive everything is health care related.
I tell everyone...just wait until your hit 40. ****.First of all... **** cancer. Secondly. I hope everyone ITT gets fixed up.
Lastly.... getting old sounds awful. I'd like to stay in my 30s forever.
God bless.
Losing weight is like 75% of the battle I swear to God. Well done on getting a trainer. Fucking killed it.I had knee and back issues but hiring a trainer after COVID and losing weight fixed that. I've got a fucked up shoulder that I'm guessing is from repetitive motion. It's fucking annoying. I'm in a constant 3-4 in pain and this time it doesn't seem to want to go away.
And yeah, **** cancer. I've seen a few people go and it's just such a terrible thing to watch.
Trainer was a friend of mine, so it made it much easier. He really taught me about programming and nutrition. The best thing about him though was the accountability. Dude was insanely positive, so talking to him made it feel like you didn't want to let him down, even though it was your body. Walks are my cardio for the most part. They really come in handy.Losing weight is like 75% of the battle I swear to God. Well done on getting a trainer. Fucking killed it.
I've had a great August in terms of making little permanent changes. It's got to be a true lifestyle change. For me, it's not eating after 8pm and taking our dog on a walk every night once the boys go down. We live in a super hilly neighborhood and can burn some calories. I do stretching, high knees, butt kickers, etc. Sleep has been so much better.
You are a hot got-damn mess! I'm so sorry bro.Apologies in advance for the novel but here we go.

Ditto. I'm assuming most of the people ITT have a decade (or two on me). I've been fortunate in life thus far with good health but I know it's coming the older I get. Trying to take care of my body while I'm younger to ward off any ailments aslong as possible. Gotta keep staying active and eating a healthy diet. Although the diet thing has gotten worse with a little one - just not enough time/energy at the end of the day.First of all... **** cancer. Secondly. I hope everyone ITT gets fixed up.

I was right there. Super fit ex college rugby player. 11 years later I'm the out of shape Dad doing high knees on the asphalt in my neighborhood at 11pm.Ditto.
