I was listening to The Score earlier today. Ben Finfer brought up an interesting point. When are Blackhawks fans gonna start pointing the finger at Stan Bowman? True, he had to get rid of guys like Ladd, Byfuglien and Niemi because of the salary cap restrictions, but he hasn't been able to replace them.

thats a bit of a stretch for finfer to state. you cant replace them all due to the cap, but he didnt replace not a single one player which is a bit alarming. He obtained a bunch of "grinders" and so called "tough guys" who do nothing. He has to have a descent deadline or people will start to question him. Pretty much everything in the core and down on the farm are the work of dale tallon, yes he fucked the salary, but he pretty much built the core of the team, stan hasnt done anything yet. rumors about burish coming back are annoying because he does nothing....we need a dman, 2nd line center and we may be able to get passed our goalie issue.
Im leaning more tords blaming the coaching staff, this team has way too much talent to be playing like this, this looks more like a team that a coach lost more and more.

I don't know what the dynamic is of the three, but certainly I disagree with only firing Kitchen. If you're going to fire him, Q must go as well. Quite possibly fire all of them and bring in Carlyle.

Yeah well, it can be a factor in the process (considering the process is conducted by someone else). I'm sure that's why Ditka and Guillen lasted longer than their used by dates.
Mind you I am not at all saying it is right or wrong, just that it is a factor when it comes to the people that get to make those types of decisions.

Hah. Q is concealing the real schemes and plans for the playoffs. He's revealing nothing on how this team will play until then. Once the playoffs come, BAM, 16-0 as teams won't know what to expect and what hit 'em.

I think you have to look at them pretty soon
it's easy to say that Kitchen should go because of pp/pk, but isnt it Q's job to get in there and mix things up if his asst coach's plan isnt working?
i DONT think Q should be gone, but he needs to be taking more control over how this team formulates it's schemes in all facets of the game (if he isnt already)
