Now that the All-Star break is here it is safe to start talking about where you think the Blackhawks will finish in the standings.

Try to be objective here. I'd like to see some honest votes and discussion in this thread.

4-6, Nashville is the 4th seed and isn't out of reach, though 7-8 is just as, if not more, realistic.

I voted 7-8 but do think they could get hot and end up higher... or could face plant and miss the playoffs if some key guys go down...

If the team stays healthy we should make the playoffs.

What I said. The West is extremely deep and the Hawks can easily dig themselves into an even bigger hole if they keep trading wins and losses.

I don't know.

I'll guess 6. Where ever they finish, I hope we get a Hawks/Canucks series. I enjoy those a lot.

If this team gets their act together and plays consistent every night they could make a run for the 5th or 6th seed. If they continue to play the way they do, we will be fortunate to be in the playoffs.

Ah there's the rub. This is really a bitch to predict - because they are consistently inconsistent. I think a lot will depend on 2 things - the pairing of #2 and #7 and many of our guys' heart/will.

They get in, but barely...7/8 was my pick and most likely a one-and-done if the PK cannot wake up.

I think Nashville and the Hawks will battle it out for the 4th seed. Coyotes and Ducks have points on the Hawks, but the Hawks have games in hand.

I think the all-star break is just what the doctor ordered for Craw, he has looked really slow in goal the last few games.

i say they get the 6 seed i think this all star break is what the team needs. The team can relax get focused and dig in deep and start their run at the playoffs (defending the cup)

I agree with this...MAYBE 6th, but we will have to get lucky

sprinkle a little bit of luck with a descent trade for a 2nd line center and things may get better.

also guys like skille, stalberg etc have been brutal
