If you could live in any city in the US, where would you live and why?

Relax, don't get all ass toweled about it, it was just a couple jokes. Let the thread run it's course, it has potential. I'm going to sleep on this one and come back and answer it tomorrow.

I heard England is nice.

I have visited the Island across the pond and found that many of the blokes over there to be real corkers. Was there for less then a fortnight, but was very chuffed with the British hospitality. I don't know my onions on all the best places to go but I would definitely go to a premiership match.

Anywhere in the PacNW is good for me. PDX, Seattle, Even Vancouver (both of 'em).

My wife also likes SF. I could see living there as well...as long as I could sell about 4-5 CCS members for glue to be able to afford rent there :D

Also, are we talking realistically with our current financial situation? or is this a case of having unlimited amount of money and just choosing anywhere in the US to live? My answer above is for the realistic scenario. For a scenario in which I have unlimited amounts of money, I'd live in San Diego/San Francisco/Anywhere in Hawaii

Money is not a concern- Kailua, Hi.

Awesome beach, rated in top 10 of US ( sand, trade winds, more thongs per capita than any US beach I have visited) no hurricanes, awesome weather, close to Honolulu for big city amenities.

Money is tight, still want to live like a King. Subic Bay, Philippines

Great weather, good beaches, cheap cheap cheap to live. As of 2011 a housekeeper was $50 a month plus room & board. Most ex-pats have a staff of 3-4 while easily living on $2000 per month.

I like where I am. But would like to split time between here and western NC one day. Actually know the exact town I want to move to, which happens to be where one of our more infamous posters calls home.

Colorado is a nice spot. I would live there again.

Probably not Denver but somewhere on the eastern slope.
