I did a year there. Expensive, tons of people everywhere.

However there are lots of hotties everywhere, people are generally chill in most places, and the weather is amazing.

I wanna go there for the weather.

I lived in Sacramento before moving to Denver recently. It's close to SF and has some really nice weather and is pretty affordable as far as CA goes. I miss California.

Is Denver really dry?
I thought about Denver too, but read that it's even drier than Chicago.

Arizona... moved here and like it.
Summers hot but not bad until noon.
Golf morning... float in afternoon.
It’s only hot from the car to the house to the pool.
I also play golf on New Years morning with a light jacket.
Love it...

Aside from the crime and the poverty here. New Mexico is a better version of Arizona. We have better mountains, more water, and it isn't so godawful hot.

But don't move here. There is a lot of crime and poverty and its awful. so please, stay away.

It seems like it's a good place to retire and you can buy some property for relatively cheap. The school systems is pretty bad in New Mexico so I imagine the locals have trouble tying there shoes.

If I had the money San Luis Obispo,CA Population: 47,536 but I'm sure it gets busy in the summertime because of the beach. Cal Poly is a good school.

If California ever gets swallowed by the ocean you'll have ocean front property.

what kinda heat in AZ? dry heat or humid heat? I went to undergrad in SoCal and I loved the weather there. The heat was bearable. That's the kinda heat I like. Not the Houston, TX type heat.

LoL Chicago is not dry at all.

It's actually one of the driest states in the winter.
People who come from other states get surprised at how dry it gets here in the winter.

Me and the wife almost moved there, but the nursing system was so effed up there that when she applied for her license and paid $300 extra for expedited licensing it still took them over 8 months to respond. We had already moved to Colorado at that point. Had to get away from those Phoenix Summers.

Phoenix is closer to houston that southern Cali

110 with 25% humidity is rough, and it is like that for months on end.

If I moved from Michigan my go to places would be Arizona, Florida, Texas, and Nevada with Arizona at number one

Florida is pretty awesome IMO. As far as the cold up north goes, that shit doesn't even bother me. It's the months that seem to go on forever of gloomy, gray bullshit. Dark when you leave in the morning. Dark at like 4:30. **** that, depresses the shit out of me.

Dry... real dry.
A glass of beer doesn’t sweat.
Step in the shade feels 15 degrees cooler.
Come Aug though it’s oven hot!
Don’t touch your car hood can’t breath in the garage hot.
100 hot days... 265 awesome.
And you don’t shovel heat!
Cars don’t rust... no salt on roads...
It’s not for everyone, but it’s tax friendly... money goes pretty far.
I can’t afford Southern Cali.

It is like that all summer, it doesn't even relent at night. It can stay over 100 all night long some nights, with that humidity in the 20's it is like a sweat box for sure.

But pool, AC, AC in the car (make sure you have a towel for the steering wheel and seats if you have leather) and you can survive. you just sort of get reverse cabin fever by the time it lets up.

Some of the lowest humidity in the country (30% or so) outside Nevada.

San Diego is about 70% avg... but the temp doesn’t swing as much.
Really like that town but cost of living is an issue.

Houston’s like 80% avg... that’s miserable.

Don’t get me wrong... July Aug is wicked.
Which is why the snow birds leave.
It’s not for everyone but every place has its down side.

I lived there for three Summers and I would never call that a dry heat compared to where I live now it felt like a wet sauna with no respite after the sun went down.

Yea when it’s that hot it’s pretty rough as I said.
As humidity goes it’s very low country wise.
I’d take 75 at 60% in San Diego in the summer over 110 at 30%.
No doubt... but I love this time of year.
