north carolina isnt bad.. green.. winters snowed some but it wasnt unbearable when i was there (im sure they probably get an every 7 yr blizzard or sumin)..summers werent too extreme.... obx is shitty but nice.. dark waters, but a nice family friendly beach atmosphere imo. i lived in fayettenam, i wouldnt recommend that place as a choice, if ye had one...but nc has some better cities and decent rural locations imo

Not doing to bad here either considering this is the first rain we've had in like 90 days!

Yea that’s pretty nice up there.
Would have been on my short list.
I decided here for many factors.
The summer heat is the down side...
But spend most of it with morning golf and afternoon pool.
When not working of course.

Just for reference, in Denver, I pay $1,335/month for a large studio in a newer building with laundry, granite counters, dishwasher, and a parking space.

I love Oregon, but could see getting a winter place somewhere warm in the winter when I get older.

Life got expensive...

Remember when a family of 4 could own a house, car and be supported by the father who works at the local grocery store? Lol me either.

Arizona... moved here and like it.
Summers hot but not bad until noon.
Golf morning... float in afternoon.
It’s only hot from the car to the house to the pool.
I also play golf on New Years morning with a light jacket.
Love it...

I grew up in the phoenix valley- beautiful place, near perfect weather.... but traffic has gotten insane out there.

Apache juntion used to be isolated, and when I moved out of the valley the superstition freeway ended at powers road... nothing but a circle k and tumbleweeds there.

If you are snowbirding only I recommend Phoenix. There is virtually no better place to be in the winter. It is seriously hoodie season for about six months.

My grandparents used to be snowbirds and then they moved to Mesa, AZ full time. They live in a little retirement village for 55+. Very nice and relatively cheap. Their house is right on the golf course. When I visited over the summer, it cost me $9 to play 18 and a cart. I about shit myself.

Getting worse each year... the area is growing at a mad rate.
I avoid going into town unless I have too.

If you live in the Phx Metro you just create your own little area that you hang around in and try not to travel too far outside of it. Otherwise you spend too many hours driving.
