Burque and monster- how long have you guys been there?

I lived here 2007 to 2010... then lived on Oahu for three years.
Moved back to AZ 2013 - present.
Love it... tee off at 8:00 tomorrow.

If I had the money San Luis Obispo,CA Population: 47,536 but I'm sure it gets busy in the summertime because of the beach. Cal Poly is a good school.

SLO is amazing as is all of the central coast. Of the places Ive been, this would be # 1 for retirement.

Really? I guess it would be cheap.

I prefer the west coast myself. The south does have a certain charm, but it reeks of backwards thinking.

I think that is the appeal for Mr. Flasher.

My cousin a retired CPD and Vietnam vet lives there and loves it. He lives off a lake. If he wants to fish he goes out his back door. If he wants to hunt he goes out his front door. After my daughter moves out I'm going to check it out.

Alabama is by far the shittiest state I've been to. Now, I didn't stop and smell the roses, but from what I saw I would be perfectly fine with never stepping foot in Alabama for the rest of my life.

The place is horrible, that whole Roy Moore thing should serve as a warning to the world just how fucked up that State is. A bunch of backwards ass inbred hillbillies.

I like living in a republic based on capitalistic principles.

Illinois is not that.

The US is not far from being not that

Alabama has done well by me. I live in the Huntsville area. Huntsville has the highest number of PHDs per capita in the nation. There are also a slew of engineers. Madison county (Huntsville and the surrounding area) are highly educated the rest of Alabama...ehh. Most people around here draw a distinction between Huntsville and the rest of Alabama. My title is a Software Integration Engineer although technically I'm not an engineer. Both my wife and I make over six figures. Not bragging. I'm informing you that people in Huntsville are educated and have money. Cost of living is stupid cheap as well.

Below is the house we just built. You'd be amazed what we paid for it.

Alaska is probably a state I'd never live in. I'm in Fairbanks now and I couldn't imagine choosing to live here.

Nah. A tad over 1000rwhp is gonna have to do for me as far as "muscle" goes. I'll pass on the American muscle. If I ever get anything else fast it will be Italian.

Congratulations on your success.

Huntsville is nice, I spent time there for DOD stuff in the 80's. Back then it was a one industry town and what GM was to Flint Michigan, was what NASA was to Huntsville. They were smart and have since diversified.

You said it, I'll repeat it, "Most people around here draw a distinction between Huntsville and the rest of Alabama". I really don't even think of Huntsville as being part of Alabama, more like an island of rational thought in a sea of derp.
