That pretty much lines up with my observation, that Wright is talented but takes too many penalties.

I would like to see how the tackles on this team would perform if they had regularity at OG. I haven't played OL, but hear all the time about how they work as a single unit like a machine, so that their impact exceeds the simple sum of the individual parts. Well, if you cannot rely on the man next to you, your own performance will suffer as you try to compensate for the man at your side.

Its like looking at 10 different piles of dog shit and picking which one stinks the least. I get you have to keep many of them but if it was a video game and you had the option I might flush them all. We need to replace at least half of the linemen and at least 3/5 of the starters.

Well, if we are looking for the tallest dwarf, than it has to be Matt Pryor, in that case.

Just changed my vote from Pryor to Shelton with this poll push. The line pass protection is still weak but at least the pocket collapses this year occur more on the blitz edges than last year's pathetic up-the-gut; so, Shelton for tallest midget! Hell, at least the repeated nightmares from last year caused by that weak ass interior have stopped as I can't even remember those sobs names.

PFF metrics tell a completely different story. Plus, watching five minutes of the team without him out there makes it obvious how much he’s needed.

Dexter had another good game against the Lions too.

The reason you don’t see people posting about them week after week is because most members of the forum aren’t insecure cunts that are squirming around hoping to be right about something.

And no Mr. Bus driver, you’re not a better GM than Poles and Cunningham…

Please drive safely!
Jesus Christ it took you two months to respond to this and your repeated the same adhominem insults as everyone else does.

This article is comical to me. Darnell Wright isn't supposed to be slightly better than players from his own draft class. Most players in an NFL Draft class bust out of the league.

He's supposed to be amongst the best offensive tackles in the NFL like Penei Sewell not just a decent run blocker.

If anything this article makes a good argument for him being moved to guard.

The article also all but avoids talking about his struggles in pass protection. There's a tidbit about blown blocks but it says nothing about his QB pressures or sacks allowed. His pressures allowed last year were on par with THE WORST YEARS of none other than the board's seventh round whipping boy J'Marcus Webb.

So to recap seventh round draft pick who struggles mightily is the most hated player in Chicago Bears message board history.

First round pick who is just as bad of a pass blocker as the seventh round kid and is injured a lot over two years....defend him to the death!

Oh and just for good measure Darnell Wright is 34th in the NFL with his pass block grade according to PFF.

The OL is loaded with backup depth and no NFL caliber starters, save for Jenkins in the rare times he is healthy. Poles better blow the whole fucking thing up this off season. He's getting CW killed on a weekly basis just like he got JF killed.

I vote for Murray and that is sad in and of itself.

Its loaded with average to below average nfl starters.

I dont think you have been watching too many other teams if you think wright, braxton arent average

Problem is you want more than average from the 2nd most important position on the offense(Left Tackle) and a top 10 pick in darnell wright.

A lot of the sacks are on caleb this year too, he's helping get himself killed. Waldron certainly didnt help him with the scheme he laid out

Thanks for the post. Wright is a good player, don't know why people would question his play other than not knowing what they are talking about....lol....The article does point out his problem with penalties, not with blocking. I agree. Mainly false starts I would think. Clean that up and he's top notch.

Rhetorically asking.......when are people on this board going to understand that the second most important position on Offense is the Center? Not open for discussion btw.....when that epiphany happens to you, you can thank me later. ....lol... Another btw...btw....the position most ***** & complaint about but at the same time don't find the position important enough. "It all starts with the Center."

Are you trying to get me to say next 3 drafts all go to oline?

I'd really need to see a post Waldron and post Flus comparison to the numbers. I think there has been a pocket holding up most of the time since Waldron.
