White, Goldman, Grasu = Day 1 Starters. Since 12' = 3 TOTAL STARTERS

Is it even really fair to call a rotational player like Goldman a starter? I mean, he may start but that doesn't mean he'll play a majority of snaps.

Eh, he's a 2-down guy because he's not a pass rusher. That's still going to be a lot of snaps for him if he is the starter at NT. I guess Ratliff will replace him on 3rd down?

I see one DAY ONE starter. White. And only because they almost have to start him.

OP assumes too much. I think White will actually have a hard time beating out Wilson in year 3. Jeffrey/Bennett/Wilson/Forte and 2 TE or Fullback or White is likely as base offense. Denver had Thomas who was a WR more than TE. Bennett should have been on a mutliple TE team long ago, as he is basically an elite catching blocking TE with Blocking TE being the noun and catching the adverb. He is a catching blocking TE.

He should be flanked by a pass catching TE to make for a dynamic passing offense in the modern NFL. If we had to lose Marshal, I would have liked to see us spend that money on T.Thomas.


I I actually see zero day 1 starters. I think Wilson, Ego Furgoson, and Montgeomery the center brought here for the job in FA will all start initially to begin the season for different reasons.

So if White starts his career off a bit slower than we hoped, he's an automatic wasted pick? Come on now. Some players just takes a bit of time getting adjusted to the pros. I don't think White is one of them, but we just don't know.

If we were to select one of these two options:

A) Wilson beats out White for the starting gig in training camp, and White only catches for about 400-500 yards as a rookie. But thereafter he explodes and catches for 1,200+ nearly every year.

B) White starts day 1, and catches for 800-900 yards in his rookie year. He just never catches for more than that in the rest of his career.

I'd pick A. It'd be nice if White was a baller right away, but we're not contenders by any means, so it's not like this is a boom/bust-year for White.
