They just made the comparison to Chris Sale and the idea that he might be able to help the Marlins this year.

They're saying that Dahl has everything but the power. But he's 18 and power usually develops in the minors for younger players.

Great pick for the Rockies, I think.

If Stroman were 6-foot-3, he'd be gone long before this spot and he still might go earlier to a team that doesn't worry about undersized right-handers. His stuff is electric and he could help a team out of the bullpen almost immediately.

beane going position? really

Position and high schooler. Weird.

Haven't taken one in the first round since 2001. and that's when (according to Moneyball) that Beane flipped at the draft and decided to put his new ideas into place.

Super weird. Especially because he's the 29 on the top 100 prospect.

I'm guessing Oakland has some idea that they could sign him, but he does have Boras as an advisor.
