Nationals have had a great 4 years in a row as far as drafting goes. That organization is definitely turning around.

I bet it will start soon. But I think the chance of good pitchers still being there for both Cubs and Sox keeps going up as position players are being taken.

If Giolito's UCL/arm holds together, that rotation could be 90s Braves good.

Yup. They took the chance nobody before them was willing to take. If it pays off, their rotation is great.

Another short stop. I'm kind of upset because now he won't be a Gamecock.

Cubs couldn't take him at 6th, but he is what the Cubs need the most potential top of the rotation arms. I was hoping that teams would be scared off enough to let him slip to the supplemental picks.

agreed. but like you said those guys need to stay healthy.

That is always the risk. 10 years ago I was thinking pretty much the same thing about the Cubs pitching staff (thanks again Dusty).

agree with you Dews. With 46 and 48 there will still be a lot of good pitching looking at how this is going.

I want best available player. I was hoping that Giolito would be out there because he would be heads and tails the best talent at that point. That said I wouldn't mind a college pitcher that might move quickly to help the pen or backend of the rotation starter in a couple seasons.

college pitcher finally taken. By the Cardinals.

Wacha.

Cardinals have another pick in the next four too. Crazy.

Comp. to Jon Garland.

I would be pretty happy with Storman, but I doubt he lasts that long.

But it happened late enough that the Sox and Cubs will both still have a shot at some good pitchers.
