If you don't care you don't have to post about it but this was another nice start in a very good season for Foster. He has been a very good pitcher this season which is what I said at the beginning of the season to some derision.

I think his name is Fister for what it's worth :D

It would also help with discourse if you folks weren't so goddamned defensive all the time. Smoke a bowl, yo.

That's funny whitesox901, but Calcaterra is a pretty good writer.

It appears likely that whoever wins the Central is going to have the seventh best record in the league. Has that happened before? I am going to check to see some of those NL Central winners in the the 00s, but that seems like something that hasn't happened before.

Answer-05 Padres had the seventh best record in their league but won their division.

The NL must have been epic shit in 2006 when the Cardinals won the Central then.

Yes they were, but the Cardinals had the fifth best NL record that year.

Yeah, I was gonna say, if 83-78 or whatever they had is not enough to be 7th best then that's pretty terrible for the Senior Circuit.

The 05 Padres actually had a worse record than the 06 Cards, but yeah it wasn't a good year.

Only thing I like about fall is the overcast skies.
