Would actually like to see the Sox do something. Need a little bit of everything, offense, defense, pen. Should get rid of Danks and some of that deadweight in the lineup.I feel like the last big FA signing was that dude Adam Dunn. (Not counting international FA, different structure)

they need a corner OF (aoki would fit,obp and defense) a lh stick at DH (vmart, but he wants 4 years) and a RHd SP to split sale and Q. the pen can be done on the fly as most years each teams pen is a gamble. i just dont want a scherzer like contract.

I'm sort of weary of Martinez. Sure he may be good next year, but after that could be scary. Detroit's lineup fits him well, I don't think he leaves there. I doubt the Sox would be in the negotiations for Scherzer given the other markets that are likely to bid on him. If they did land him though they could have one of the better rotations out there if Rondon pitches well for them

One year rental, low OBP, kind of the opposite of what RH is doing.

I don't want Vmart. The only way I could really "deal" with it, would be if it were only 3 years and front loaded. Maybe 3/45 where it goes 25+10+10.

the sox have money or i should say JR has money but I cant see the sox shelling out over 170 million on a pitcher. thats one hell of a gamble. i prefer shields but i think he goes to the cubs or redsox.

I don't want Shields. Wouldn't complain if he did come to the Cubs, but I think their money would be better spent elsewhere. I think the Sox would be fine if they went after one of the 2nd tier arms like McCarthy, Masterson, Liriano, or Peavy.

Not sure how much good Hunter would do for a Sox team in their current position. Wouldn't make a huge difference and at his age, likely never would

im done with peavy and liriano. i would like to see a deal via trade or FA that brings in someone like shields and sign someone like mccarthy as a 4th or 5th pending on rodon and if he is ready.

panda is ideal but i think he will get paid way too much. i know we have a ton of 2bmn but i would still want to keep gillaspie and move him to 2nd.

we need a closer. romo might get 15 mil a year...pass. robertson will get even more.

Panda is going to be more than $15 mill per as he just rejected like almost that amount on a one year deal from the Giants. Keep it.

So Conor at 2b? Has he played there before?

I would love Micah Johnson there next year. He may be a dynamic player that creates excitement that could permeate through the team.
