I think we are in the mid 40s as far as payroll before arbitration money. Thats a good position.
No, that means no big spending.
Signing Choo, McCann (who I still want), and some random shitdick hitter and adding 50M in payroll isn't going to make the Sox an 80-some win team. Which is fine, that is partly how we got into this mess in the first place.
I am expecting international signings (Jose Abreu), and signing a two relievers. Wise spending that build for the future.
Right, but you can flip them.

I guess JR was on the score and said they still had money to spend. Idk.
We don't have to go all in. We could spend on Salty and trade for an outfielder or RHP starter.
I want another good hitter. Just one more and I'm good with the lineup because we won't be going crazy spending.
Lineup might look like this:
CF Ellsbury
LF DeAza
2b Cano
DH Dunn
RF Garcia
1b Abreu
SS Ramirez
C Phegley/Flowers
3b Beckham
I keep Tank as a replacement for Dunn in 2015.
wishful thinking. if you are going that route though, we must add a real catcher.
