The good news about this team is that you can see the talent on the field and once Garcia gets healthy and they bring in Micah Johnson, this team on the field will be very good. The weakness is pitching. No question about it. They do have two quality left handers, a great one in Sale and a good one in Quintana. Danks is good enough to be a fifth starter. So that is three lefties and no righties worth a shit. Their pen also is a mess and I see no ready available hope in sight for a closer. They need to move Dunn and Beckham and get two pitching prospects in return, especially a closer. I've said this before and I'll say it again. One right handed starter is right under their nose and they don't see him. His name is Jones and he should spend the rest of the year in the minors learning to be a starter again.

Jones can be a solid closer. Also can't forget Rodon who will make it 4 solid lefties and Rodon is projected to be a much better starter than Quintana. They need to find a right handed starter and more better bats for the team. Bullpen can be created it is harder to find a starter and bats

Their two top draft picks could have a short move to the big club ahead of them. The problem as I really see it is trading Dunn. But Beckham should be easily traded and so would De Aza whose bat has finally woken up. I wouldn't get rid of Tank, though. Not just yet anyway.

Many teams are low on power. I say trading Dunn might be easier than Beckham cause he has actually been quite good this year.

Dunn & Ramirez should be the easiest to movie. Then I'd say Beckham. I think the hard part is moving Danks (Salary), and De Aza.

I think Ramirez would be hard to move. His value would. Be a little high for most teams I bet.

Yeah, a little but that's the cost for a SS who fields well, has some pop, and has a below market value contract.

What's Eaton's top end? I know he's a rookie and I've got patience but can he get the ob to .380? Or the steals up to 30??

There is no damn reason for them to trade Alexi this season. He is a guy that you build around not trade to get prospects. Alexi has probably 4-5 very good seasons ahead of him. He puts his glove on and blows pretty much every game and is the best short-stop in the AL right now. The only way that I trade a all-star short-stop who has won a silver bat is to get a TOP and I mean TOP pitcher for him. Not prospects. No damn way. A TOP pitcher.

geez. relax there knee jerk :) if a contending team wants him they arent going to give you a stud or 3 mlb proven starter if that team is in a race unless they have a 5 man rotation that is all 1s and 2s and that isnt out there.

Again, why in holy hell would you "move him"? Seriously, this isn't a board game. Why would you trade an all-star short-stop? If you want to make a team better you try to improve weak parts of your team and bring in better parts do you not? This drives me nuts. There are other players who should be moved that have value in that there are other people awaiting to slide into their positions. They do not have anyone in their organization that can slide into Alexi's slot easily. Beckham, yes. Flowers, yes. Dunn, yeah. Pitching? No. Get pitching.
