Daryl Van Schouwen writes that "it seems possible" the White Sox will non-tender Gordon Beckham this offseason.
Not only is it possible, it's probably likely. Beckham figures to earn north of $5 million in his final year of arbitration, and the White Sox have cheaper and likely better alternatives at second base in Marcus Semien, Carlos Sanchez and Micah Johnson. Beckham is sporting a career-low .606 OPS this season and is a career .244/.307/.375 hitter. The White Sox figure to make one last effort to trade him this winter, but it seems likely that they'll just wind up cutting him loose.
