My favorite teams
Monken would be a good consolation prize.
the interview process will prove that wrong, even though Johnson is self limiting his interviews he will still have more then MonkenIf they hire Johnson, I’ll have no issue with it. However, he’s not head and shoulders a better candidate than Monken. That is reality.
@msadowsWhat hires would make it no longer be attached?
That’s completely subjective. Monken has a much longer and sustained history of top-level play calling over a variety of teams and rosters of varying strengths. That’s just a fact. That’s not a shot at Johnson. He’s had a few years of really good play calling experience with 1 team.the interview process will prove that wrong, even though Johnson is self limiting his interviews he will still have more then Monken

Respectfully disagree. He hasn’t been the second fiddle to the HC who also calls the plays or a star QBs water boy. Again, he is the one who has installed and implemented his system for many years with great success.Monken is the 2024 version of Getsy, Waldron and Nagy, IMO
What's not to like about either one, both would be great for Caleb's development. I like both of them and either one would be a great hire.why am I sure if the bears sign Johnson, 99% of CCS will be 100% on board with that media narrative
And, exactly what are you basing this on? Certainly not on what he has done the last two years.Monken is the 2024 version of Getsy, Waldron and Nagy, IMO
so you're bragging about Monken learning under a family of coaches, while downplaying Johnson learning under Campbell, got it
Does he come with Derrick Henry? To be fair, he significantly improved TBs passing game when there and now is again using the the strengths of the team to win. Not a square hole round peg guy.
By the same token, it seems all anyone talks about is BJ as a passing game coordinator while the Lions run game has also been pretty great.
TBD..............And I don't see how it is self-limiting to be interviewing with four of the six teams that are looking for a new HC.the interview process will prove that wrong, even though Johnson is self limiting his interviews he will still have more then Monken

What specifically makes Johnson a better candidate than Monken?the interview process will prove that wrong, even though Johnson is self limiting his interviews he will still have more then Monken
Exactly the questions more people should be asking. What specifically makes Johnson a better candidate than Monken?
Does he have more experience?
Has he been a head coach at any level?
Has he called plays anywhere but Detroit?
Other than him coaching for your supposed favorite team, how is more qualified than Monken?

Keep the stupid takes coming! You’re a pro at making them!Monken is the 2024 version of Getsy, Waldron and Nagy, IMO
I was wondering who the fan would be that would weigh in Robert Mays' choice.Has been successful OC at several stops and levels, as well as head coaching experience at Southern Miss, a big enough program to matter, IMO.
I wasn't disagreeing with you, buddy but this year is the 1st time I expect some playoff success for this Ravens. Credit him with probably pushing for what was needed.Does ben johnson bring the lions OL and run game?
They didnt have derrick henry last year and he made Lamar look much better in the passing game.
He's also been doing this at multiple levels a LOT longer than ben johnson.
Not even remotely closeMonken is the 2024 version of Getsy, Waldron and Nagy, IMO
