i am on heff's side on this one..

you criticize people for supposedly annointing lebron as god..but frankly saying that this season was the best since jordan's 88 season is honestly not much better lol

and i think the reason you added that part of the "besides jordan" in was because you were backtracking

anywho, i still disagree even with that backtrack..i'm sure if i looked at some PER,win shares, etc. totals i think there are a couple players that have had better seasons

Shaq in the late 90s,early 2000s comes to mind
PER is a weak stat, win shares?

I think I said for a Bulls player, but I'm not sure. I say one thing and you guys jump on it like my opinion is fact. Oh wait, your opinions are facts. My bad.

And even if what I said was totally hyperbolic, it wasn't mean to be taken that damn serious.

It's like you guys can't live your daily lives because someone is wrong on the internet.

If you want me to clarify what I was trying to say in that, fine I will.

Jordan in his rookie year had an outstanding year, he was hurt in his second and missed 64 games but wound up dropping 63 on Boston in the first round 3 OT game.

87 was his third year and arguably his breakout (if you can call it that) year, and 88 was the year that IMO really solidified his status as the game's best player.

With Derrick Rose, being in the Bulls uni, he had an MVP season which in itself makes it better than any year, any other player had in a Bulls uniform, NOT NAMED JORDAN

If you disagree with it, fine, but the name calling and being an asshole about someone having an opinion is not called for.

PER is a weak stat, win shares?

Lol i know the flaws of PER(relies too much on ballhandling efficiency,PG biased a bit) and Win shares(relies heavily on position defensively and PPG> overall efficiency and production...3 point shooters seem to get a lift as well)..they are just references as well as team record,MVP voting, etc.,as well as looking at overall stats and videos

i dont like citing one single stat to support an argument as subjective as this unless i have a really concrete purpose..you have to consider a lot of other stats..because its one thing to excel in one systematic distorted stat..but its completely different to excel in nearly all of them...

not to mention all stats are flawed because you cannot translate every single game detail into statistical data

I think I said for a Bulls player, but I'm not sure. I say one thing and you guys jump on it like my opinion is fact. Oh wait, your opinions are facts. My bad.

"Well, Rose's 2011 season was the best season by any Bulls player since Jordan's 88 season.

To me at least."

ya whoops lol..forget the shaq part...

And even if what I said was totally hyperbolic, it wasn't mean to be taken that damn serious.

well judging by seemingly neutral context of the writing....it didnt seem you were being hyperbolic or facetious at all

It's like you guys can't live your daily lives because someone is wrong on the internet.

we live our daily lives...how do you know what our lives are like...

you seem to be jumping to conclusions a bit

If you want me to clarify what I was trying to say in that, fine I will.

considering the clarification causes the post to change meaning a bit, i'd say you should

Jordan in his rookie year had an outstanding year, he was hurt in his second and missed 64 games but wound up dropping 63 on Boston in the first round 3 OT game.

87 was his third year and arguably his breakout (if you can call it that) year, and 88 was the year that IMO really solidified his status as the game's best player.

i think we all know WHY you said jordan in 88, it was just the lack of clarification that made use think that you meant rose's season was better than any jordan in the season in the 90s..because you did not specify otherwise

With Derrick Rose, being in the Bulls uni, he had an MVP season which in itself makes it better than any year, any other player had in a Bulls uniform, NOT NAMED JORDAN

sure MVP is a huge accomplishment and an indication of a great season..but i guess you have to consider are we just talking about the regular season here or what? i would assume so...but judging a season changes if playoff production is included in the criteria

i think the MVP,again, is important..but it doesnt always mean you had the best season or was the best player that year...team success has a bit to do with it..ex. Steve Nash over Kobe in 06...thats where you start to wonder what the criteria is for the MVP itself

of course, your opinion

If you disagree with it, fine, but the name calling and being an asshole about someone having an opinion is not called for.

i wont comment because i know this isnt directed at me

hou, rami and the rest of the ldf (lebron defense force)

please show me where any of those guys implied lebron was the second coming

it also seems you are making generalizations and jumping to conclusions in your sig...

just an observation

Kobe and other players didn't play for the Bulls, so i wasn't talking about them.

I was talking about Bulls players. I did say in a Bulls uniform, not the entire history of the NBA.

If I want highlights and gaudy numbers and stats, I'll go with lebron.

If i want a title and someone who will step up and LEAD a team to a title, I'm going with either Kobe (and I hate Kobe) or Wade.

Both of those guys have proven that they can lead a team to a title. lebron has proven that he can't. Will that change? maybe. But as of now it's not even a question to me.

the kobe example was just trying to make a point about whether or not MVPs should be taken as gospel

i know kobe has nothing to do with the bulls

Well Rose's MVP wasn't a career achievement MVP like I felt Kobe's was.

I was really trying to say that Rose's season was one of the best in Bulls history, not NBA history. No one would say that.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
Jordan was the 2nd best player in Bulls history, duh. He was soo good, that he consumed 1st and 2nd place. This should be a no-brainer.
