I wish Avery would have been a Blackhawk. That guy had some hilarious chirps.

I loved the guy on and off the ice. And you are exactly right. Not sure how much the media would have talked about him if he wasnt playing in New york for the bulk of his career as the guy crossed the hockey media into other realms. Most fans hated him more so because he had other interests past just hocky and they saw that as a guy who didnt take his career serious. Which is a fucking joke. Dude likes the Arts and Design and all those things that alpha male twats got all worked up about. Pretty admirable fella that Avery esp when he started speaking out on homophobia in sports.
On the ice you gotta respect a guy that tests the boarders and rules sometimes while still being a pretty talented player. Seans a guy of his era that wont be forgotten even though his number will never go up in the rafters...which it probably should for different reasons.
Plus my girlfriend got female boners for him so it took the pressure off of me. Now she has a creepy thing for Toews which is weird because Toews looks like a pharmacy experiment gone wrong sometimes. So not sure what that says about me. Its all about me.

In the 2010 Cup finals, Dan Carcillo clobbered teammate Jeff Carter. After the hit, Adam Burish told Carcillo "That's your best hit of the year." here's a video of the hit, haven't been able to find Burish's comment.
