for me there are many but my alltime fav was walter as a kid there was a sandlot all the kids went to and I spent many hours there wearing a beat up as hell payton jersey pretending I was playing for the bears. couldn't tell u how many imaginary broken tackles and huge scoring runs happened but I had to be up there with the alltime greats

Brian Urlacher. Played LB myself and Urlacher was the man when I played. The biggest and fastest MLB and 9 times out of 10 the most athletic guy on the field. Watching him chase down vick was awesome because all my friends wanted to be like Vick but I wanted to be like Lach. No matter how bitter he seems now a days he will always be my favorite Bear.

Walter for me, too. But I've always had a soft spot for Curtis Conway due to a personal connection I had with him. I ran track in high school and my relay team actually raced against his. We got smoked, as his team were state and national champs that year. Then, he went on to become a star at USC, which ended up being the college I also went to. Then, for the trifecta, he ends up getting drafted by my beloved Bears. So I was following his career since high school, and he ends up playing for my two favorite teams (Bears, Trojans). Too bad his Bear career wasn't better, but he did have a couple pretty good years for them.

Brian Griese for me. He seemed smart and well spoken. I thought it was a good move by the Bears to sign him as a back up although I don't think he did all that well. I remember laughing at an article where a teammate went to his house and saw a grocery cart and questioned it. Poor Brian had a DUI and walked his groceries home. I don't condone the DUI but couldn't he have hired someone to take him to the store? Nah, not for Brian. And he got hurt tripping on his dog and also falling down in a driveway.

Brian's the smart, drunk ex-bear that is my favorite. And not joking.
