Kevin martin is another good option and JR smith is to small, can't play D, and has a major attitude....that doesn't sound like a player I want to be signed :nope:
:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:I would rather they do this also.
But what do I know?
i hate to "group" ellis with the ben gordons and jason terrys of the world, but i think that ellis would be a PERFECT sixth man.
he could get up his major shots and get going during the second and beginning of the fourth quarter, and could be a more than reliable scorer when rose is out of the game. with the bulls second unit constructed as it is, you could just give ellis the ball and let him go to work.
in the fourth playing next to derrick rose, is there a more scary player to leave to double rose than monta ellis? and eventually i think the great team defense of the bulls can win out.
at the same time, i wouldn't be opposed to starting ellis either, i think rose and ellis could both take turns guarding the shooting guard.
however i don't think boozer for ellis would be near enough to get it done.
I'd personally like to see the Bulls go after a guy like DeShawn Stevenson and then draft somebody to develop behind him. That seems like a viable route to go because a guy like Stevenson isn't going to be a big money player and he brings great shooting to the table and plays excellent defense. He would make Brewer, Korver, and Bogans all expendable from the day he got here.
Not feeling Stevenson...he can't create offense like Martin or Ellis can...not in the same ballpark. You have to remember, Pax/Forman swing for the fences...I don't think Stevenson is the answer to what they are looking for.
He is talented young man no doubt... But there is some questions how he will play in nba.... Will he work hard? How he will play against personal defender? How he can play with his teammates... Is he smart enough to learn and release his talent fully.
