What about Danks?
Proof
people do realize that the bears were in nickel which is a 4-3 alignment for a good chunk of the snaps...right?
a switch to 4-3 is not going to magically solve the problems on this defense. goldman opting out for the season was huge loss and it showed in the bears inability to stop the run consistently.
They can but why would Vic do that to his friend? Makes zero senseThey can block that move since it's for the same coaching position.
Has this ever happened? Who leaves
their 8 GF for someone they never met?
The personnel is better for a base 4-3.
Nichols, Quinn, Mack, Hicks can all play better in a 4-3. Plus, it'll get DT off the field or roster
I'd think Fangio would be proud of Ed and support him if he wanted to leave.
Problem is, Pace assembled some guys who aren't built for the 3-4 system like Quinn, Nicholsthe coach makes the system, not vice versa
you target a stud and implement whatever he wants
I’m not understanding this angle. Ed Donatell has been Fangio’s DB coach and now defensive coordinator since 2011. He holds no allegiance with the Bears. Why would he leave Fangio for the same position in Chicago?
Speak more about what you think someone you've never spoken with would do.I'd think Fangio would be proud of Ed and support him if he wanted to leave.
He is taking a year offWhat do you think about Jim Schwartz (ex hc in detroit)? I always like is aggressive mind

He is running Vics defense in Denver. Running your own defense could help you land a HC position.I’m not understanding this angle. He's too dirty for me, never liked him. On that side of the ball they're a bunch of Alphas and need a hard ass coach though. I still think Phillips or Romeo would be perfect fits. What do you think about Jim Schwartz (ex hc in detroit)? I always like is aggressive mind

Honestly I'd like a Rex Ryan type personality to add some swag back to the defense. Hes someone who will call it like it is and not put up with the BS. Someone who will inject some confidence and not try to people please.
With that said, I dont think he is a fit with Nagy. Probably not for keeping an always positive culture amd pretend like everything is alright.
i dont think hicks would agree...he was in a 4-3 with the saints which lead to him getting traded.
DT being extended over re-signing kwiatkowski was the mistake. Nichols is fine as a 3-4 DE, he just isnt a NT.
