Either Death Grips or Black Pumas....I can't decide.

Black Pumas are really fucking awesome. Funny enough, heard the song Colors on a FFB podcast and decided to check out the rest of that album and found it pretty phenomenal.

it is funny- queen vs. Zep reminds me of comparing metallica and megadeth in the 80s and 90s.
Both similar, both considered the same genre, but metallica recorded cleaner and sounded tighter. (Queen)
Megadeth sounded dirtier and less produced, and had a far looser feel.(zep)

Guys, as the poll and thread title clearly states, there is no debate here.

I second the nomination for Queen mostly because Robert Plant is ****ing rubbish.

Voice like a cheese grater and his best songs were written by black men while he was still in diapers.

Freddie Mercury was a Rock God.

I am gonna have to call b.s. on zep.
Gonna have to say Queen.

Freddy Mercury embodied the rock and roll front man.

Beyond that, queens musical style was far more varied and their sound was much more polished.

Head to head skills, Bonham beats Taylor and page beats may..sure.

But the sum is greater than the parts with queen and Freddie has possibly the all time greatest rock voice. His clarity and pitch are beyond compare.

Zep is legendary for sure, but if i am allowed to put one band in a time capsule to be opened 1000 years from now, queen has the greater body of work, better sound, and is the prime example of rock and roll showmanship.

*disclaimer- neither is in my top faves...more of a metal head.
My opinion is solely based on range, showmanship, and polish.
Zeppelin and their rougher sound and lesser production slides towards the edge of hard rock in their time period.
Queen sits solidly center of rock and roll imo.

Zep wipes the floor with Queen. And you're kinda crazy if you think there was lesser production in Zeppelin. But, Freddie Mercury is the bees knees.

But seriously, I'm a fan of Queen too. I was just drunk and listening to Zep I hadn't heard in a long time when I made this poll.

Oh man- there is no comparison in production value between queen and zep.
Zep sounds hollow and tinny- queen sounds like it was produced last year.
All of the instruments for queen pop, zep sounds muddy except for page.

Not that it is a bad thing. Queens clarity wouldn't fit zeps style.

Meh, when Zep wanted to be clean and clear, it was clean and clear. Page was kind of a master in the studio and arranged everything according to the sound he wanted to achieve. I'm not sure production value is the right term for this comparison. I'm also not a music expert, but I can play guitar pretty terribly.

Plant definitely holds the record for the most "Baby" mentions in his lyrics. Can *almost* drive you nutty. But no band is perfect, right? Especially not QUEEN. Lol

Great band. Was gonna see them in Bmore before Covid. Looking forward to new stuff from them. That whole album is great front to back though.

If I could sing like rubbish I would be happy.

Also you forgot to say “in my opinion” he wrote the lyrics to stairway to Heaven when he was 22.....what was your major accomplishment at 22?
I love Queen as well.
Brian May one of the best guitarist in my opinion.
