Gio Gonzales. Traded for Adam Dunn. Bad trade.

Dunn was a FA. Gio was gone eons ago
Reed. Better than any reliever we have now.

Debated. But so what...not saying a lot.
Buerhle" We let him go right? Wanted that one back, don't you?

Free Agrnts are not let go

Thornton: Year in and year out. a top 3-4 lefty out of the pen.

No he's not been in some time

Peavy: Still a number 3 starting pitcher.

We got Avi. That's a probable steal for wsox
This team does need pitching.
Right now the staff is full of question marks.

Really has been every year but they have done well and been healthy in the past

Dunn was traded to the Sox. The Sox lost a LOT of quality pitching over recent years in trades and free agency. These pitchers were never realistically never
replaced with quality guys. I am not debating the worth of any of the trades. I'm just talking the bottom line. They lost pitching and need to get
some.

I think it is about time for the White Sox to make some big time changes. They are not going to contend this year. The Tigers are right now the
best team in baseball and are running away with it. So it is time to plan for next year.

I say that right now they should look to trade Dunn and Beckham while there value is up!!!!! The need is PITCHING both starting and relief. Dunn
is hitting around .250 and Beckham around .270. Get something back for them and try like hell to cut payroll and add GOOD young pitching.

The sox have a guy at Charlotte named Micah Johnson who is going to be a star in this league. He is hitting around .330 between 2A and 3A. Great
speed as in over 80 stolen bases last year. He also has some pop. He can reach our fences and would have doubles and triples galore.

Next year our line-up would be (assuming only the players we own right to):

1. Johnson -- 2B
2. Eaton -- CF
3. Abreau -- 1B
4. Garcia -- RF
5. Rameriz -- SS
6. Gillespie -- 3B
7. Viciedo -- LF
8. ??????? -- DH (Thought about our present back-up catcher but forgot his name) Would flip-flop he and Flowers depending on opp. pitcher.
9. Flowers --- C

As for pitching. They need to get three good prospects out of Dunn and Beckham including a closer. Right now they look like the equivalent
of a poor Division III crew except for about four of them.

Oakland is very good but the Tigers pretty much have it all including three excellent starting pitchers.

And Oakland doesn't?

Gray, Chavez, and Kazmir are pitching better than the Tigers' top 3.

I don't understand why the A's can never get any respect from anybody.

They have a lack of media attention and they play on the West Coast.

Oh and as much as you dislike the Kitties, I think I have the same vitriol for the A's

Why is that, if I may ask?

Mostly the competitiveness in my lifetime. So the A's when we are all in the AL West were the team thate it seemed always owned us like now. Back then they had players you liked to hate (Mcgwire, Canseco, Lansford, Stewart, Welch, griffin, Henderson, etc. Plus I'd always hate msyelf for staying up late to watch them only to suffer when we lost at their place. I just hate them. But now that i type this, I like hating them. Not sure if you like hating the Tigers, but I genuinely like hating the A's. And I don't wish bad things for them or things like that but they are for me my "craw" team.

Are there any pitchers in low A that they can call up? I never heard of these guys before this year. Where did they get them? The Salvation Army?
