Here are some QBs that may not be HOF that won.

Maholmes, McNair, Gannon, Ryan, Newton

I mean those guys just had a Great Season. Jury is still out on manholes for HOF, but I don’t think any of the others make it.

Naggys system, good WR/TE play, running ability. Why not Mitch?

Nothing would make me more happier than to hear the crowd chant “MVP” when Mitch walks on the field for a playoff game.

I think this guy has the arm talent of Goff with the feet of josh Allen. The sky isn’t the limit, outer space is.

Would this put him in MVP category ?
13-3 Record
65% completion
41 TD passing
7 TD rushing
4750 passing yards
500 rushing yards
QBR 95%

I feel good about Mitch

Hi Peet,

I agree, although I think there is a chance Trubisky will not do well this year.

The fact that McNair won an MVP kind of gives hope to any QB that doesn't put up gaudy stats.

I thought the best comp to Trubisky would be Matt Ryan winning the 2016...pretty good QB who was never really considered elite and compared to Joe Flacco and wins MVP when Falcons have good year and offense explodes. But upon closer look, Ryan threw for almost 5000 yards and had a 38-7 TD/INT differential. I just don't see Trubisky approaching those numbers. Sorry.

I do not think it is solely a numbers game, even if Trubisky has a great season, but a more seasoned vet like Brady or Rothlesberger has a similar season, it would go to them.

I just hope he can take the next step and win a Super Bowl

Zero chance.

Trubisky could have a Mahomes year and still wouldn't get it. The national guys hate the Bears and Trubisky too much. They will never not believe that THE TRADE was terrible, and they have to validate that opinion by Trubisky not being worth it.

The bigger question is, what would it take for a Bear to win MVP? It would have to be an incredibly good year for the Bears with an already-known star playing out of his mind. If the Bears were 16-0 and Mack had 25+ sacks, that might get them there.

I can hear the "MVP" chant now, or maybe something like "Mitchel, Mitchel, Mitchel!"

What do you base this opinion on?

Trubisky will win at least two MVPs in his career. Especially now that D Monty is picking up JHow’s slack.

I compare him to a much better right handed version of Mark Brunell. I'm not a Matt Ryan guy, especially living in Atlanta, but Trubs isn't close to him right now.

Is it possible Maserati Mitch does not progress to the level Bears fans would like? Yes.

Is it possible that the dear sweet one actually regresses, due to injuries or other unforeseen circumstances? Yes

Is it possible that old mole eye exceeds everyone's expectations and grabs the mantle of GOAT? No.

Could 10Gawd step up and do enough to earn MVP consideration, I will ask why not.

Why not Mitchell the bitchell?

Why not him, he has the tools.

If not him, who?

If not 2019, when?

If not in Chicago (the greatest city on the planet) where?

If not MVP, what does the Earth have to offer?

If this selfish planet has nothing to offer Mako Mitch then maybe it's time for him to move on.

That's a great comp, because I think Brunell had to share time in college with Billy Joe Hobert even though he was clearly the better player...much like Trubisky being chained to UNC's (!!) bench despite completing 85% of his passes.

I would agree with you, that winning a playoff game would be the next step, but I feel Trubisky did what was needed to win the game, and his team mate let him down.

I know it may be the homer in me but I felt like we could have competed for a championship last year...

This thread is so meatball. You have better players on your own team than Trubs and talking mvp.

Trubs is a million to one to win the MVP this year. Mack will get more consideration.

This is an excellent narrative of the last few minutes of the game.

So we have better players? Yes, but we all know QB gets the most publicity. If Mitchell throws 4500 yards with 43TDs he wins

Maybe, take it one step at a time. Maybe, he should learn how to do more than one read and take off running.
