They played D and waited for an opportunity and pounced, they didnt play stupid and go all out for a goal like you said..... you don't know hockey, just watch and enjoy, stop talking beyond your depth.
They played to win...not to lose...and guess what??..They will win

Thats exactly what the Wild are doing right now, and they have the Hawks on their heels... Hawks should turn the tables..

Wild are playing that way because they have to...because they NEED to score, Hawks do not need to score. A lot of times when a team pressures, they leave counter openings and thats exactly what happened.

At times the Hawks look a bit comfortable with their lead. I don't think they play to keep a lead(or not to lose) but the last 2 games, the 2nd period weren't their finest 20 minutes. Granted, they did score 2 goals in the last 2 2nd periods. The commentators even mentioned their was an uneasiness with the crowd today after the Wild cut it to 2-1.

The Blackhawks have blown a shit load of leads this season. Not just Games 1/2 of the postseason but also the regular season. Gotta give credit to the opponent but at the same time can't be giving teams second chances in the playoffs.

CHICAGO -- Here’s a quick look at the Chicago Blackhawks' 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild in Game 2 of their Western Conference second-round series at the United Center on Sunday.

How it happened: The Blackhawks held on to a one-goal lead for much of the third period until Bryan Bickell gave them more of a cushion late in the period. Bickell scored at 17:15 of the third period to give the Blackhawks a 3-1 lead. Brandon Saad added an empty-net goal for the Blackhawks. The Wild’s Cody McCormick cut the Blackhawks’ advantage to one when he scored at 2:00 in the third period. The Blackhawks went up 1-0 when Jonathan Toews cleaned up a rebound from Marian Hossa at the net at 11:02 of the first period. Saad gave them a 2-0 lead when he scored from the high slot with 56 seconds remaining in the second period. Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford made 18 saves on 19 shots. Wild goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 18 of 21 shots.

What it means: The Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead in the series and held on to home-ice advantage. The Blackhawks have won their last six games. Crawford continues to step up for the Blackhawks. He’s allowed nine goals over the last six games. The Blackhawks have won all six of those games. Hossa had three assists in the win. He has six assists in the playoffs.

Player of the game: Bickell was a difference-maker again. He had a goal and two assists. He has five goals in the playoffs.

Stat of the game: The Wild had 13 shots on goal in the second period. They were held to six shots on net in the other two periods.

What’s next: The series moves to Minnesota for Game 3 on Tuesday. (from ESPN.com)

13 shots in 1 period, 6 in the other 2. Wow.

I also have to say that that was some incredible defense they had out there. So many deflections, pokes, and all around stuffing of the Wild offense all game long. Lot of focus united.
