Minne going to take it to a 7th game ... boy the 'much vaunted' Av's are really not able to put away the Wild ... they just got 2 empty net goals...

nice. Maybe that took some of the momentum out of that 6 man game, and maybe we can learn from the Wild's issues with it to fire away and put every loose puck immediately on net.

Awesome. More rest and potentially home ice.

Even better ... the Av's choke and then start a scrum at the end of the game... joke ... I do believe that the Hawks with Toews and Kane really not all that affected by their late regular season's injuries - I think that they can take whoever comes out of that.

Mind you I am really glad Minnesota got a team back after being screwed out of the North Stars - otoh - I -hated- the North Stars -that was one heck of a rivalry back in the day .... much bigger than even the Red Wings (mainly because the Red Wings stunk in the 80's).

I am pretty sure that is what the guy on the Minne telecast said. Their play by play guy -but I did not check the actual NHL site.

Oh I think the Hawk-North Star rivalry was far more intense that the Wings. It was closer to the Vancouver rivalry than Detroit. One name that instantly comes to mind is Dino Ciccarelli. That dipshit made that North Star rivalry click...MOF, when he got traded to Detroit is when the Wings rivalry really started, if memory serves.

A Game 7 that tires out the opponent a tad more and gives Chicago an extra day or two of rest sounds pretty damn good to me.

yep

You know Dino (when the Caps were going to deal him) wanted to go to the Hawks. . . but yeah I remember Dino pretty well. Willi Plett and Harold Shneptz (yes I know how to spell it -but won't) didn't hurt neither.

Yep, it'll really be rough on Minny because they'd have to travel back to Chicago whereas the Avs can sit at home.

Yes....but more importantly than an extra day or two for us is they don't get any rest. If its the Wild we get home ice so I have to root for that, but thats only after I root for triple OT!!!! Lets hope they team brawl in triple overtime leading to multiple suspensions, injuries, and tired, tired, legs for game 1!! It that too much to ask?

Minnesota has looked pretty good in this series. Avs have a couple of late comebacks to credit their position in this series right now. Making the switch to Kuemper is looking to be the right one and the team has rallied behind him. Pretty amazing when you think of how many goalies the Wild have gone through. Really wish it was Harding who was carrying this team on his back, he certainly looked like he was ready to at the start of the year and hopefully he will get healthy and back on track in the future.

Southern, I meant the hawks get a long rest. While the Avs and wild beat the hell out of eachother in gm 7
