Guys, this isn't good with the rain coming. I don't think they are going to finish this game.

Maybe a trade because 10 million for a guy to make 30 starts isn't the worst value. Cubs don't need/want a lot back but could do the trade for a situational lefty and move Montgomery to the rotation (potentially).
Better to have a 6th starter and not need him than need him and not have him, IMO.

You can get a sixth starter for drastically less than $10 million dollars.

Hammel is about as good of a regular season 5th starter as you'll find. He was 15-11 with a 3.88 ERA. Can't ask for much more - even at $10M per.

Hey guys, is Friday's game the first at Wrigley Field since the mid forties?

Here we go, 2 quick outs. Now let's get out of this quick.

I didn't say to take him out of the rotation. He asked what the Cubs would do with Hammel and I said "if they want Montgomery in the rotation, they'd trade Hammel". They wouldn't keep Hammel around as a long man nor would they keep him as a sixth starter.

I'm not saying they should do this.

What happened to the people who said it was over vs LA? You know who you are. Pussies.
