Soler went 2-3 last night, so tonight he sits. Id' also consider putting Zobrist at #2 and dropping Rizzo and Bryant down 1. I hope they hit, but it seems like a defensive lineup tonight.

Pretty sure coglhan and Almora are o-fer in the playoffs while soler got his 1st hit last night with a windblown, misplayed fly ball for a triple....although he has had a few nice ab's drawing walks recently.
Guess if you're not gonna get any production from a position might as well put the best defender, arm and baserunner out there.

Soler got two hits yesterday, he needs to see pitches, not sit out again. Nobody seemed to mention that laser he threw to third base playing defense either. The called third strikes Soler is getting called out on are not good pitches when they replay them on pitch trax.
As far as Heyward, really dont mind him playing, he hit the ball hard, plus you force Kluber to go to both sides of the plate. I would rather have Zobrist and Rizzo split up with a righty, but thats asking too much to drop Rizzo to 5th.

The MLB radio guy's were implying tgat they had heard Soler was sitting because of his lack of hustle on the the triple

They should trade Baby Ruth to the White Sox for Quintana, Ken Williams daughter, all of Reiny's granddaughters, first round picks until the end of time, and every single pitcher in the minor leagues. Every one.

Maddon said there's no way he would have made more than a triple on the play so I'd doubt that honestly. I'd be more inclined to believe maddon wants some more speed. It's sort of odd to me that the cubs don't run more because they obviously have some guys with decent wheels albeit not amazing.

Please stop with the soler could have scored had he hustled.
He wasn't scoring; hes not that fast; and i haven't heard one knowledgeable analyst legitimately say he thought soler may have scored

Kind of understandable when your team has a 71 year gap between worlds series appearances. I was reading something a couple days ago that made sense. The most surprising thing isn't that the cubs are in the world series, it's that we're surprised they're in the world series. They were supposed to be here. With this team, logic says they should be back again, but nothing is guaranteed. I'm not sure many people will calm down until they finally get that trophy. Then you got fans that are just like that. I wonder how bulls message boards would be, or were, during their run of dominance.
