I'm a huge Hendricks fanboy but honestly there's not a pitcher I'd rather have on the mound. He's so calm in what will be a huge stress game.

Welp...win or lose, he Cubs are for real. The Indians are now 0-2 trying to put them away. Now, the pressure is going to be on them.
Great game by Jake. I thought he pitched very well, with elimination on the line.
What a great series! I think the DH favors the Cubs personnel at this time more so than the Indians. Schwarbs has had a hit every game so far in Cleveland.

Win or lose tomorrow! Its been an honor fellas. This team has done everything it can to bring us a ship and now its one game left. Tomorrow will be the 179th game the Cubs played this year. **** the curse! We are going to fucking win!

I don't know if the cubs win tomorrow or not but as I said when Hendricks was going up against Kershaw, is there any more poetic way for the cubs to end the drought than being down 3-1 and sending out a guy like Hendricks who's consistently underrated because he doesn't have top tier stuff against a cy young winner? For my money, even if the cubs happen to lose big props to them for forcing game 7. It would have been easy to roll over and die after going down 3-1 but they fought their way back to have a chance. Also feel like Cleveland's players might feel the pressure more so than the cubs. You got Kluber who's been your work horse on the mound and you pissed away 2 chances for a city known for failure in the playoffs of multiple sports.

Hope you are right. We need to get out ahead again then get 5-7 out of Hendricks and take our chances with Lester and Chapman.

Tues game 6......20 pitches
Mon....off day......0 pitches
At this point Sundays appearance is in the rear view mirror.
Would I have preferred 0 pitches? Probably....but nothing in 2 days isnt much different than 20 pitches.
My guess is he's available tomm starting the 8th.

Maddon on Chapman going out there. Chapman was finishing the game if Rizzo didnt hit the homerun. Maddon didnt have enough time to get a reliever ready. Chapman was coming out after one batter when the next pitcher was ready. 4 extra pitches was no big deal for Chapman. Chapman said he is good and ready for tom.

If Edwards, Strop, Grimm, Wood, Rondon can't get 3 outs before surrendering 5 runs, they don't belong on the playoff roster. It's strange that he didn't have someone warming up until the lead was back to 7. There's a reason he isn't on the top 10 list of managers using the BP. If that's the worst Maddon does though, I think I can live with that.
