If Ross holds the ball on that squibber, we win.

If they get ONE on the WP, we win.

If Javy gets the bunt down, we win.

If Russell comes up with that ball, we win.

But I think we are going to win.

God I hope you're right. All the rest of that crap is old CUBS like. This is the NEW Cubs, these guys don't give games away like that.

We all know it's over. Deep down I knew it was over on the two run wild pitch. Same feeling as after Bartman. You can hope and pray and bargain but you know it's over in your heart even with brief moments of false hope popping up after. Nothing that has happened since has surprised me. Of course they give you hope right up until the very end to maximize the misery. And once that hope has been removed, we get a nice long rain delay to sit and stew in it. Don't even get to mercifully end it quickly.

I mean, honestly, we all know what's going to happen. It's only a matter of time. That's how this works with the cubs. We lose runs to inches on defense and fail to get runs to inches on offense. Our manager goes full Special person and chokes away a massively winnable game. Fate decides to **** us both ways on a couple plays of inches. It all conspires to bring what we all know is coming.

I'm sure this post will be met with anguished shitposting and rage. But that's only because it's true. We know it's all over but the crying. Although for many of us that has started already.

Say what you will about Chapman but going out there in the 9th and getting 3 outs after losing that lead... big time props to him.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  2. Oakland Raiders
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Let's call it a tie and give both teams participation trophies.

I am not entirely sure I want the tarp to come off.

Ha for real. Just leave it there until opening day. Just leave this series as is. I can't handle this shit.

Looking forward to the Cubs scoring in the 10th, and seeing Joe send Chapman out for a save. WTF?

Now he goes to relievers who he has clearly not trusted and says "Go get 'em. You can do it!"

Wonder how many more innings Joe will try to get out of him.

Man if you were one of my buddys and we were together right now, I'd put my arm around you, look you in the eye, and say

GET THE **** OUTTA HERE WITH THAY QUITTER BULLSHIT. BARTMAN? SERIOUSLY YOURE GONNA SAY THAT SHIT? FUCKING PUSSY.

Since we're not together, I'll just shake my head and pity your loserness.

For sure, huge. Good on him. Is he done? Who is next pitcher up?
