Wrigley Field in itself is a marketing tool. When Bill Veeck was selling pop at Cubs games back in ye olde days, Mr. Wrigley decided to start the whole "Come see historic Wrigley Field". You have to realize not everyone at Wrigley is a Cubs fan. Its full of Cubs fans, baseball enthusiastics who just have to see Wrigley Field, its full of businessmen who are taken their on business trips, its fans of other teams who just have to see Wrigley Field, its full of frat boys and Ke$has who just want to get drunk and have a good time. After you take away most of that, Wrigley would be no fuller than U.S. Cellular Field whenever the Cubs start off slow or have a bad season.

Na, it would still be a bit more full, the Cubs have a worldwide fan-base.

I guess I can't argue with that because I have no facts to prove you wrong. Regardless....would you rather watch or better yet play in a game with a packed house or one half full. This is the reason it is a Cubs town regardless of the lack of a world series in over 100 years.

I have no clue what this is supposed to mean. You do realize that the Cubs only play in Chicago right? And before you declare a technicality on me, we do not get money from playing in Milwaukee or St. Louis or where ever.

The Cubs have a world-wide fan base, as in, they are one of the more popular MLB teams in Japan and Korea, etc. They have a lot of foreign people come in.

And it is more popular in Chicago too, and around the US because of how we used to have every game broadcast nationally.

And why the hell would I use that damn technicality?

And I said that IT would be more full, as in Wrigley, so I don't see what your post is pointing out.

The Cuba are the 5th most popular MLB team based on the last study I saw, after New York (AL), Boston, Atlanta, and Los Angeles (NL).

What were the White Sox? And after you take away the people who go just for Wrigley where do we rank?

Sox were lower, don't remember. I only really look at the Top 5 with much attention. they weren't Top 10 though.

And we don't know, it is impossible to figure out what each and every fan are as far as real fans or not.
