It seems lately they've been churning out more remakes than usual. And they've been lemons more often than not.

It's called presold. That's why they made a movie out of battleship and are making one out of candyland

With all of the remakes of movies from my childhood I'm just waiting for them to get Andy Dick to do a remake of Top Gun.

Yeah, it was completely original.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038976/

"The Bowery Boys--Slip, Sach, Bobby, Whitey & Chuck--start their own exterminating service, and get a job which takes them to a spooky old abandoned mansion in the middle of the night. Meeting up with pal Gabe and his new French bride, the boys are tormented by mad scientists who try to convince them the place is haunted and then kidnap Sach in order to place his brain inside a gorilla."

Yeah, that sounds exactly like an exterminating service that eventually has to square off against the leader of the undead from another dimension. Just because the characters had the same jobs doesn't mean it's a remake or derivative.

It's not a completely original idea. Those don't exist.

while yes one of them was black I wasn't nor do I really pay attention to skin color I was thinking of particular actors I thought would be funny cast in a ghostbusters story line

Except Will Ferrell isn't funny.

They're remaking Big Trouble in Little China. I don't know why.

Seriously, that movie was fucking perfect in almost every respect. There is no justification for a remake.

What movie remake has been good? Im probably going to blow up Hollywood if the remake The Warriors

Honestly Robocop wasn't bad. If the first hadnt been made the remake would have stood on its own two feet rather well. Which surprised me to be honest.

The newer Judge Dredd was better than the campy Stallone version, but I liked both.

It was but that slo-mo shit got super old super fast. Shame the movie tanked a 2nd would have been good. Though I still love the campy Stallone version as well.

No because you think it would ruin the movie, or no because all you want to do is take your shirt off and play volleyball....in the Danger Zone?

They're remaking Big Trouble in Little China. I don't know why.
I agree...it would be like remaking Army of Darkness.

I'll blow up Hollywood when they try to remake Bloodsport.

I'd be right there with you. Jean-Claude Goddamnit at his worst.

And it pisses me off to no end. I'd like to see some of these Hollywood execs brought to the hell where people are skinned alive.
