Remember they most likely get Kmet far more involved as well. And if they balance out the RB usage they may need another RB as a greater need than another WR. There’s enough solid/good pass catchers between Moore/Odunze/Kmet/Swift-RB.

Tyler Scott should be and will be cut.

Just reading that bum’s name irritates me.

He was a healthy scratch most of the season for a reason.

Him, Domonique Robinson, and Zachh Pickens should all be cut barring a great camp/preseason.

Even when scott put up some yardage vs scrubs this past preseason it was clear he was body catching and having trouble running proper routes/tracking the ball.

As mentioned above they still need a #3 as the lions still had them out on the field.

Patrick was on the field 59% of the time last year. Josh Reynolds 71% in 2023(large increase due to jamo being out). 2022 Reynolds was out there 66% of the time.

In this offense with what odunze, moore, kmet do well, they likely need a burner who can block as @bamainatlanta already covered. Not sure that guy is in FA, but my personal like for that #3/burner role is Elijah moore as he should come cheap

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
My sources tell me Keenan being gone is a done deal.

Are we comfortable with Moore/Odunze/Scott as our x/y/z next season? Carter over Scott or something?

Do we restock/bolster in FA or (hopefully) later in the draft?

I miss Earl 'the Pearl' Bennett
I'm not gonna lie, I would love if Earl Bennett was coming out of this draft for the Bears to select all over again. But he's not walking through that door, unless Burned Johnson hires him from Vandy, then that would be really cool and he could definitely turn Tyler Scott into the new Earl Bennett but with speed.

Ehh, odunze and kmet will. Odunze was good at it in college and kmet was solid prior to this year

I think it will be much approved this year with a real coaching staff.
That’s my hope. We get a coaching staff that starts holding these players accountable and has them focused on football and not extracurricular activities. Prior coaching clearly had no interest in doing so

Maybe Randle CTA can teach scott how to catch and track footballs downfield too also.

IF so then who knows. Jamo Williams looked like a giant bust prior to this year and couldnt catch either

I'd like to give Scott a chance. I also like Patrick as well.

Kmet SHOULD be more involved. Him as WR3 is a must, IMO. So who we have as WR4 (Scott, Tim Patrick, etc) I'm not that concerned. And I have to assume they'll use Swift more in the passing game as well. And then there's the draft. I think we're good.

question, if someone else signs Keenan would we get a comp pick?
Depends on the FA Signings that the Bears have. They likely won’t have a comp pick soon because none of these bums will be signed by other teams—save for Jenkins. Bears are likely to be major players in FA this offseason because Poles probably has a mandate to start winning now.

Patrick is a no brainer. Cheap, familiar, will do dirty work, can play across the formation.

I think they will plan to keep Scott, even as #5-6. They also need a punt returner. Carter was meh and is old. Doesn't have to be WR of course.

I think they will grab Patrick and probably another guy who is more of a speed player, Elijah Moore, Tutu Atwell on a bigger one year deal. But they aren't going to spend alot on WR in FA. Maybe $7m on two guys.

Wonder what Darius Slayton will get in free agency?

Rondale Moore
Hollywood
TuTu Atwell
Olamide Zacchaeus
Josh Palmer

Not sure what each of these guys ran for their 40's but some would be good to replace Keenan in the slot as well.

Egbuka, Bond, Golden, Royals, Johnson all expected to run 4.3 (or better for Bond). Granted nothings official til they run it - for a recent example Xavier Legette was 6’3 230 lbs. who ran a 4.2 until the combine came and he hit none of those numbers.
I'll take the speed that shows up on game day, of course. But this team has taken a couple swings at speed threats in recent drafts, neither of whom have paid off. And that's fine, the odds are against them. I just want to make sure that the WR corps remains a position group that adds talent.

George let them spend big for the coaches, he will demand dollar tree prices going forward

They should draft a 4.3
