So good to finally see the lockout end and now looking forward to some Blackhawk hockey games. Bowman has a week or so to get the team ready. Will there be any changes? Trades? etc. I believe there are still some free agents not yet signed to any team. Go Hawks Go!!!

As far as I know... FAs can't be signed until the league/player's lawyers draft out the ratifications of the CBA.

I would imagine Camp would start sometime the end of the week. 12th maybe. First home game 21st was what someone that works for the Hawks said but who knows.

Tack games on in April to get to 48. I'm guessing the schedule, teams they play, has to be entirely re worked.

I'm expecting Montador and Olesz to be bought out.

I'd be curious on some other teams buyouts...

Luongo....

Gomez...Lecavalier...

Any preseason games, or do you think they just jump right in?

I would imagine there will just be an abbreviated Camp. Guessing on everything as who knows how they'll work this goofy schedule.

I don't think we will see many trades this year at all through the league once the CBA is fully ratified. Buy outs? Probably a shit load.

Isn't there no trade deadline this year? Like all the way up to the Playoffs? I read that somewhere.

I just think when you are dealing with a shortened season and a new CBA a lot of teams will be hesitant to make any drastic changes. Next season though and through the off season? Its going to be a shit show of trading. By next season I think we will see a dramatic change in team rosters throughout the league.

I have a feeling buy outs though this season might be plenty. I predict a lot of young kids playing the season also. Rookie of the year should be fun cause there are going to be a shit load of them playing.

One thing for everyonr to keep in mind, the compliance buyouts that are part of the CBA come after this coming season, not between now and opening night.

Ahhaaa. Didn't know that. Okay that changes a few things. By god is this coming offseason going to be a riot of fun. I hope the season ends fast so we can get straight to the offseason!!

P.S. Im glad this is a 10 year CBA with an option in 8. That's the most important thing to me as a fan. Means we won't see any of this shit for at least 8 years.

I just really hope they do something nice for the fans...like writing "Thank you fans" on the ice. That really means a lot/goes a long way.

Oh...be sure everyone is paid up full price for your tickets and I'm sure the NHL package will be a pro-rated full price with the Center Ice package. But the writing on the ice....really makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

This shortened season makes me feel slighted. While I like the fact we will see NHL hockey this season, it's not going to feel the same as a regular season.

While I'm glad I'll be able to watch the Hawks play, I still think the NHL and the NHLPA can go **** themselves! I love NHL hockey, but as a fan, I still feel as if I got fucked. They need to do something for the fans, but after seeing them do this bullshit lock out, they obviously don't have the fans interest at heart.
