Damn bro, sorry to hear all that. Hope you recover quickly.

it happened in 08. My wife had to basically teach me how to walk again. I was so mentally weak because of it, thinking I was some worthless piece of shit because I wasn't getting better. Took me up until 2012 to finally be able to walk without a cane. Still pisses me off everyday cause I got hurt, and because it ended my military career. I have a lot of disappointment built up inside because of it. Luckily I'm able to workout to release it.

People that say " you know what I'm saying" over and over again after they have said something, but aren't saying anything that profound and it's not difficult in any way to understand what they are communicating. nawi'msayin?

Shit Gibbs, sounds like an ordeal. Gotta stay strong and let go of shit you have no control over, for your own good, and your young family. Not trying to patronize you, cuz I damn sure have never been through anything like that, just reminding you of the big picture, that's all.

Bet through all this you and your wife see each other differently, y'all sound pretty tight man, happy for ya.

So now you walk and function pretty good? How old are you btw?

Maybe they're asking because they suddenly forget whether or not you speak English and what to know if you understand them. You know what I'm saying?

Thanks bro, I will be turning 33 this year. It's hard to let it go, I was never able to finish what I started, but it also fuels me and makes me work even harder in the gym, and at school. I try not to let it bother me, but in a way I'm glad it does because it makes me want to be better everyday. Still have some issues physically. I have nerve damage due to my pelvis being on an angle from my bad jump. Every once in awhile it flares up, and I get this feeling that my leg is asleep. Then it gives out, and I'll either fall down or catch my self before I fall down. I'm way better off physically then I was 2 years ago, but no where near what I was before I got hurt.

"Can I be honest with you?"

So you admit most of your words are lies

Stuff like that takes time, seems like your on the path to a good recovery though. Got a good attitude too, that's half the battle. As far as not being able to finish what you started(Military wise), it sucks, but try not to dwell on it. Try and look at what you do have, a great wife & kids, your going to school (If I remember correctly), corn on the side of your house, all that good stuff haha.

To put it generally.... people who don't bother to have awareness....

Drivers who go slow in the passing lane on the highways

People walking downtown who are slow and zig-zag so people cannot get by them

People who stand still on the left side of escalators and stop everyone behind them

People who wander out of a building on their phone and traipse around the middle of the sidewalk while people are forced to dart around them

Long story short, people need to pay attention to the world around them and not be a social impediment just because they cannot be bothered to put forth enough effort to not be a bumbling fucktard.

White people wearing flat brim hats.

It pisses me off that sometimes no other options.
I used to buy one Hyperlite cap per year at the beginning of every summer. (a wakeboard brand that I used to use).
In about 2009, every cap they offered was flat brim.
