has nothing to do with Rozy. hahah lol. He is to be paired with Rozy and whoever gets chosen for NHL development out of Kempny, Pokka, Gus,

Rozy will never die.
No Franson is to be paired with either LD Kempny/Forsling or if anyone other of the prospects make it.

I still think Rozy will make #7 DMan/box man. sometimes emergency forward.

What do I want? I want to get younger and develop young guys behind Keith/Murphy/Seabs and if Franson is the #7 and Rozy is gone I would be stoked!!

But I don't believe that knowing Q. Its going to be Keith/Murphy, Seabs/Kempny, Fronson/Rozy more often then I would like, imo.

My move would be Keith/Forsling Murphy/Kempny Fronson/Seabs or Keith/Seabs Fronson/Murphy Kempny + best fit.

That is just how I see it working best, but whatever. Spin the wheel Q. spin the wheel.

Rozy died 5 years ago, it's his reanimated corpse that you occasionally see when it pretends it's a pylon.

Knowing Q, the reality that other than with Hammer who got acustomed to preferring playing RD despite being lefty. Like when Campbell then Oduya were his consistent LD partners... Q like some other coaches, notably Babcock and Hitch, really prefer stressing D playing on their handed side.

And why the h e double hockey sticks are people fearing rozi playing. He played 22 games all last year and is fine in the press box sitting now.

And tour pairs make no sense match up wise, Keith Forsling is as silly as the rare no good options 10-11-12 Era when Leddy and Dylan Olsen played with Keith. And people act like it was a mystery why Keith struggled that Era and did until Oduya arrived. Because the depth lacked good pairs and Keith had to log heavy tough minutes.

That's the main D issue I still see because there's a nice block of young LD ready to play but who else eats Dzone and PK time there, Forsling and Kempny need to develop and I think they see it possible in Forsling, I've seen smart moves from him and coaches compared him to young Hjammer who wasn't known for elite D coming from Sweden at that point.

Still doesn't explain the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row. Now, granted, Toews isn't the only one to blame for the clusterfuckery that was the 'hawks play in the playoffs--not by a long shot. But even so, a geriatric Hossa outplayed Toews all year in almost every respect while lugging Kruger up and down the ice.

Kane, on the other hand, has driven the team's O these past 2 seasons--that's something you expect out of a 10.5M player. We may not expect the same O output out of Toews, but he's gotta be better than he has for the past 2 seasons overall.

Yep. They need a couple of guys to step up and be better than they were last year. Losing Panarin and Hossa is going to hurt this team.

Yep. They need a couple of guys to step up and be better than they were last year. Losing Panarin and Hossa is going to hurt this team.

Saad I think will basically help most of Hossa's D and most, if not all of his O. Panarin will be a loss, true enough. Losing Hjammer worries me though. Murph has big shoes to fill.

That's what worries me about this year. We are losing about 24-30 G from the loss of Panarin and Hossa. We lost our best defensive defenseman. All indications are that scoring will be down and shots on goal will be even higher than the last 34 seasons. Realistically, Crawford's career SV% is the same as last season's; .917. Ergo, more SA is going to translate to more goals unless he pulls a 2015 or 2016 out--and even then we may just be treading water.

Thus, either we gotta hope guys like Franson/Murph are the real deal and can shore up the D in the absence of Hjammer and the aging of Keith/Seabrook on the backend, OR, we need more O. Where's it going to come from? Either a rookie/journeyman needs to break out massively (realistically, how much more can Kane/Ani produce), or Saad, Panik, & Toews have to have some synergy together. I don't think Panik is much more than mid-20's (so at best same output as last year). Saad and Toews then have to be either *very* high 20's or preferably, 30's. Both hitting 30 would be 20 extra goals, and thus make everyone else's job easier.

So much about absence yet I don't see how the LD on this team is anything but better than the last 2 years.

And overall faster team wise

The Hawks traverse city rookie tournament is in the Championship game tonight, it's cool because the team is literally all but 2 guys a collection of players who will be in Rockford this year.

Debrincat has scored in this one and thus every game of the tourney.

Hawks beat Columbus 3-2 in OT to win the Traverse City Prospect Tournament. Bondra with a goal and DeBrincat with 2 goals including the OT winner. DeBrincat led the 4-game tournament in goals with 5. Aside from DeBrincat, also standing out for the Hawks were forwards Fortin and Kampf and d-men Snuggerud and Press. Training camp should be very exciting, and Rockford should be a much improved team with many of these prospects heading to Rockford after training camp.

Can we call him Snuggs? 5 points in the second to last game.

Hawks brought in three more vets to replace some youth again, Hossa on roster is not valid, he will not play for the million dollars, regardless of his skin condition.

And you know this how? Have you talked to Hossa? Have you interviewed him? Have you read an interview? Did you pull out an Ouija board? Call up Miss Cleo?

Hossa is on the roster because he will be there until the beginning of the regular season. Purely procedural at this point.
