Allegedly it's been legit all night that Kruger is traded to Vegas for a 3rd round pick but not officially confirmed

Rumor talk from Pierre LeBrun is also still the idea Zawaski has of a core piece likely moved nut he's saying not Seabs and Jay said it's not Toews

Seems down to Panarin, Hammer, or if AA is considered core internally could still be him.

Those main 2 are guys that could get amazing potential returns though despite the pain of a trade

I will be sad if it's either of those two. :(

If we move Panarin or Hammer, we better get a MASSIVE return. Panarin doesn't get paid much, so I'm not sure how that'd work. And Hammer is our best D-man, so how the heck does that help us? It's tough to imagine moving either of those guys.

Maybe its AA.

Panarin will earn $6mm base I believe, exclusive of the $3mm bonus he earned in the past season.

From a few blogs that i read, it sounds likely that Panarin will be soon be skating for San Jose or Dallas.

Interesting today is the deadline for anointing if you have a nmc f you will waive it to be exposed to Vegas. So if any Hawk like Seabs were to be asked it'd of happened

Yeah I've given up any hope of Seabrook being moved. I hope he can have a bounce back year next season.

If the Blackhawks and Knights do in fact have a deal with Kruger/TVR, then it should present plenty of opportunity for the Blackhawks leading up to the expansion draft. There are going to be a lot of teams who won't want to lose players for absolutely nothing and perhaps the Blackhawks could swing a trade for those players. De Haan, Jenner, Stempniak, Vrbata, a back up goalie, etc are all players that are likely to be exposed and could be interesting for the Blackhawks in one form or another. Would have to get creative with several of those players but that's the name of the game in the salary cap era, especially for the Blackhawks. Should be an interesting couple of weeks here.

Does anyone know what our cap situation will be if we move Kruger for a pick and expose TVR?

Somehow we will has less cap space.

Seems like no matter what the Hawks do, we wind up with less cap space.

Actual cap is unknown yet cause what if any percent of escalator the nhlpa will enact is unknown.

Still cool reminder seeing talks throwing the Hawks n Pens in historical consideration of how do you rank em vs the Devils, Avs, and Wings of 90s/2000s. Sure neither are the classic dynasties the Oilers, islanders, or habs had but all a great comparison of which is which top team.

Losing Kruger for nothing cap-wise and losing TVR would come out to a cap hit of 73,619,295--which as-projected look like 600k above the cap--which is assuming 12F, 6D, and 2G:

Hartman/Ani/Kane
Panarin/Toews/Panik
Schmaltz/Kero/Hossa
Tootoo/Hino/Hayden
Forsling/Hjammer
Kempny/Seabs
Keith/Rosie
Crawford
Glass

Not quite a warm, fuzzy feeling, even if it did fit.

That lineup, even barring key injuries, looks a lot like ........... a 1st-round playoff exit. I think we are one year away from blowing it up and starting over.

No complaints, it was the run of a lifetime for a Hawks fan.

If Crawford splits the difference between 2016 and 2017, Toews goes carnivore, and Keith reverses his lobotomy they could go deeper.

No matter how you slice it, someone else has to move though. If it's Crawford, Kane, or Hjammer you might as well blow it up--the rest of the core, barring a dip in the fountain of youth, won't be enough.

First of all

Ruttta > Rosie

TooToo had no business starting ahead of Hayden, much less is he able to hold off the flood of talent coming for him next year.

Q will get the **** out of the way and let the youth energize this team, or he will be gone.

I expect contributions from Motte, Hayden, Bondra, Debricat, Forslin just for starters...players in the system with clear top 9 talent. Rasmussen is the new Kruger.

Q got soft. Tries to play games 2-0, that time has gone, has been gone since 2015.

We won with Crow by going up and down the ice. Up and down. Up and down. Trade chances. He sucks with traffic in front, and the D sucks at moving traffic out. We got skate up and down.

Rutta/Kempny/Forsling...up and down. Kempny/Forsling/Hayden/Hino all should have played in the playoffs. Q was a damn fool. UP and down. Crow is a fast break master, we win those battles with Kane, Toews, Teuvo, Saad, Hino, Smaltz types benefitting the most from up and down. We have to finish better, we have to use Keiths/Seabs as masters at retreating sticks.

We put Kruger on the third, fucking Tootoo, Rasmussen, Hartman up top some, with AA hurt....

I mean our game was completely fucked. What do we expect? We gotta have 3 lines that fly, and one that defends and we gotta trust all 4, and figure out 3 defensive lines so we don't run Keith to death, Seabs to death, and Hammer to death. Split them up and give them each a young set of wheels that compliments them.

Hammer and Pokka? Seabs and Kempny? Keith and Rutta? Forsling and Seabs? TVR just wasn't a good fit with any of those guys so I don't care that he is gone. He didn't have the right flavor. We don't need the best defenders, we need the best complimentary guys that complete our big 3 and make for a two way functioning defense on every line.
